(u have to put ur email address to view it, dont worry it wont come to me! 😛)
This is a video, about 2 hours long, on which I had to write a review. It is basically about how the western world is drugging their kids and talk about the harms.
I am still half way there, but couldn't stop myself from posting here and sharing it with you guys.
I think they are just taking their childhood away. As a child it is natural to be curious and to learn things. Some kids are more curious then others, but that doesn't mean that they are exceptional cases and need special supervision and drugs to settle them down and make them "discipline" Just to make their job easy and to make money, they are ruining the future of little kids.
One of my family friend's son is under observation, and school is doing its best to prove that he is an exceptional child (ADHD) and needs extra help, which will be there all through the years of his study. Just because he is hyper, he has too many questions, he is very social and because he doesn't like to write, but prefer oral stuff. They are making him, in fact forcing him to study grade 4 course in grade 7. Being careless as a 12 year old boy is very normal. They are absolutely ignoring the fact that, he has a great general knowledge and a higher intelligence level and he is a quick learner. but because the teacher has to tell him twice to do his class work, he is forced to study in a group of 4 then in a group of 25. and the course is also of a lower level.
I had many conversations with the little fellow, and as being a practitioner and being in med field, I have observed him. He is a decent child. with great imagination and creativity. and he loves to do his own level works. he wants to be a scientist one day and want to make a robot. he is already working on it. he watch all the tech and mechanical shows and remember everything he saw. he is a fabulous artist, very sensitive, very caring, very helpful.
if he was suffering from something he wouldn't be doing that. Sometimes I wonder what they would have done to Newton, if he was present in this day. he would have diagnosed with ADD. coz he is not learning and sitting outside the class room. we would have no law of gravity.
When I was a kid in Pakistan, we used to have a class of 25-30 students, and teacher used to make sure that each one of us are working, that included the hyper ones and the ones who were slow in general. Honestly speaking, I never liked to write, my hand writing is worse then any conventional doctor. and my class notes can't be read by myself most of the time. but if I was here, I would be in a learning disabilities school. and the school declaring me hopeless would have moved me to a mental hospital, coz I can't write.
I have been a volunteer in both Canadian Elementary school, and in Pakistani Elementary School I remember a kid in a class, where I used to be a helper for lower grade teacher (in Pakistan), who used to get off his seat and used to go wonder in the ground, pet the rabbits and ducks and come back, the teacher used to stand at the door, watched him, and when he used to come bak, she used to ask him about his trip, and he had something to say every time, he would have discovered something new everytime, in each trip. doesnt matter if it was that the water was dirty or the duck's feet are webbed. He was in a state of learning. After a while when his curiosity was over, he stopped going out.
if the same child was in North America, they would have moved him to a school with mental disabilities. and made him sit in a room with some kids, and with some puzzles or alphabets which he has to tell the teacher. the schools in NA, are totally jamming the creativity and imagination of their own generation. and if a parent doesn't agree they FORCEFULLY take the kid away, claiming that they know better about the child then the teacher and the school board. they are limiting the areas from where they can learn.
In Canada, the teacher mostly give the class their classwork and go on her desk and work on thier own thing. according to them, the students should come to them, if he/she needs something. and all this time students are asked to work like mature adults. the ones who are moving or staring out of the window are later asked to be in a smaller group where there is one teacher on 4 students. in a normal class there is no communication between the student and teacher. they are limiting their abilities. teachers and the school board is spending more time in finding the wrong one then to nurture the good ones and try to bring the little slow kid upto the level of others.
Is this the way of disciplining kids??
if it is, then why are those students dropping out of school at a lower grade. Only 20% of the students reach College/University Level in Canada. Rest drop out and are happy to fry french fries in McD.
If you see, the children who have base/elementary schooling from Indian/Pakistan or Asia, they go on and are bigger achievers then those who are studying here.
The suicide rate in NA of kids from 15-25 have increased by 9% in this one year. and many of these kids are the ones who were diagnosed for ADHD & ADD.
I can go on and on, on the educational system of NA and their drugging of kids to calm them down. it is just ruining them. they are ruining their own generations with their own hands!!!
it is better for a child to be hyper, then be suppressed to a limit that he/she goes and shot himself and his fellow mates.
