After watching the 1st episode I fully agree that it is similar to Mentalist.
Since I have watched Mentalist till season 5 on Zee cafe I know all the characters so well.
In the original also Simon baker calls her Boss.
In fact yesterday's episode story was same as shown in one episode.
But Sharad kelkar does justice to the character originally played by Simon baker.

In todays episode they may shown about the main villian Red john.
Lets hope they maintain the same basic plot of the original series.

Sharad indeed has done justice to the original agent.. from Mentalist.. !!!
But adding to it... Sk is making his own character as Agent Raghav... His speech so intense.. his acting so superb.. n his way of creating an aura to make us believe what he is saying.. !! Just Awesome !!! ⭐️👏
He is quite impressive.. !!!

Yes it absolutely is. And some of the parallels are uncanny:
  • Teresa becomes Trisha
  • Rigsby becomes Rajvir
  • Grace becomes Gauri
  • There's an Asian character, Bikram, like there was a Korean, Cho
  • Rigsby and Van Pelt's story becomes Rajvir and Gauri's story
  • There's a backstory to Raghav
  • Raghav is a psychiatrist and can "read" minds like Jane
But there are also many differences:
  • Jane was haunted by his wife and kid's murder, but here it looks like something happened in Raghav's childhood.
  • Raghav and Trisha have the sparks since the beginning, but it wasn't always that obvious with Lisbon and Jane
  • The team had a lot more to do in the Mentalist, but here it seems to revolve more around Raghav.
  • Here the roles of each team member are not yet fully defined except Gauri who is the tech expert. In the Mentalist, the roles were much better defined.
  • Here Raghav seems to be taking more of a lead, while there it was always Lisbon.
  • Here Raghav hasn't really strayed yet on doing something alone, but there Jane often ended up investigating or doing things without Lisbon's approval.
Feel free to add. So far that's all I can think of. 😊
