actually.. white color can also be seen as a base .. in some faiths it signifies, purity ,virtue and chastity..

I agree with you. For example ..we muslims like white..men have to wear it for pilgrim . And many wear it to go to masjid. Muslim women avoide wearing white..in these occasions. But many wear it for their weddings.😃

where as black color is equated with evil and sinful.. ill omen..

Again agree with you. And I am afraid of black dogs and cats..

In the programme,of course its used to identify a stigmatized group of women who are considered images of ill omen.. and denounced as paying for some past sin they have committed and now are living a penitent life..
