Alia-Varun Starrer Shuddhi NOT Shelved Blasts Karan Johar
'Shuddhi has been shelved' - that's all we were hearing for the last few days. But you know us; baseless rumours are not our thing. So we decided to find out the truth.
And who knows the truth better than the film's producer Karan Johar?
9xe.com got in touch with KJo and the filmmaker rubbished these reports. "Shuddhi is not shelved. I am making the film with Alia, Varun and Karan Malhotra. It is just that Malhotra is on a break. Once he gets back, we will start setting up the stage," he said.
Sure, the Karan Malhotra directorial venture has seen its share of ups and downs. Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, then Salman Khan - they all associated themselves briefly with the project, only to walk out later.
But with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt giving their nod (KJo confirms Varun-Alia for Shuddhi, May 21), this one is definitely in the offing.
