Its not just about her not being the old Nandu, it is also the inconsistency in her characterization from one episode to the next.

I don't get what they are trying to show.

Standing up for what is right is not a sign of weakness and Nandini of yore would never put up with beating a person up like that and that to over such a minor quibble.

You see the contradiction, in one scene they want to show us a more mature, jaded, supposedly proactive and aggressive Nandini and in an earlier scene they show the same sweet girl pining for the love of her life and getting his friends together to celebrate his birthday.

It makes no sense because a hopeful, in love Nandini would not react like this. She would still be the girl Manik fell in love with. Were they to show this transformation in her character after she has accepted the fact that Manik is not returning, then it would have still been realistic. Maybe anger and vengeance would have justified her actions to an extent.

They r showing Nandini in different shades- soft n hard. Haven't u all ever seen a GEC serial where heroes r like dis? I think some r forgetting dat Nandini told Mukti to slow down d bike n not go dat way cuz they can't do anything by putting lives at stakes. Its not a sudden change but I think Nandini was always grey in some or other ways. 3 months have passed n 3 mahine me insaan bahot mature hota hai aur badal jaata hai. I started watching dis show after 4 months of its start but I knew a lot abt dis show. 4m d time, I started watching muje serial k baare samajhne me time laga ki kitna realistic aur kitna fake hai. Nandini is just 18. Wen people go in different surrounding they change in some ways in one or other ways. Nandini tuk 1 year to change so much. Only her friends family know abt Nandini's soft side of pining for Manik. Nandini has changed so much enough to run for Secretary dat also against Harshad. I think dats wat cvs wants to show dat how much people change by time. Nandini is now bcumn truly like her friends Mukti n Aliya.
