I am very glad to see that you are back with me, and I hope you will stay the length, till about Episode 150 or so. Thank you so much for your very warm words about my posts! I agree with you that it was a near criminal disregard for logic, credibility, details, continuity that made Jodha Akbar so distasteful in the latter half. And the end was unbelievably bad.
You know, Lavanya (Sabdabhala) was teasing me the other day about the same point that you have raised @blue. I feel that though the writer or the director might not have known about the Mirror of Erised in Harry Potter, the line he has given Jalal, after Jodha says that she has come Aapko dekhne ke kiye, makes no sense without the inference I have drawn from it.
Jalal says Par tum to aaine mein dekh rahi ho! Now why would she look at herself in a mirror when she has come to see him? Mine is a rather mystical explanation, but I think it is the right one, and also what the writer intended.
There are of course many nuances I see in the telecasts that perhaps the director himself had not intended or understood. That is because very good actors like Rajat and Ashwini can rise above the script at times. I am enjoying these retelecasts more than I did the first time around, and if you compare my old post for the same episode and the new one, you can see what I mean.
For example, mine for Episode 12, with the same name, is at

I have used some of the material from there, but the new post is so much longer and more detailed that I could just as well have rewritten it from scratch! That is because I am digging deeper into the details now than I did then, I am very happy that you enjoy the new versions.
My right knee was operated on 3 months ago for a total knee replacement, and the recovery has been slower than I had expected, but I shall get there in another three months or so. What worries me is that the other knee is now acting up. Well, at least I do not have cancer or a kidney failure, and I am counting my blessings!

Hi Shyamala ji.. how are your knees now? Glad to see you in full action!! Revisiting Jodha Akbar through your posts is very entertaining and a different experience. I didn't realize the little nuances till I read your takes.
I always wonder if the JA director/CVs truly had the same intentions while shooting the scenes which you highlighted like the Ayeena in Makbara scene.
The contemplation you put in analyzing the episodes, had the CVs put in 20% of it, JA wouldn't have seen the downfall and a sudden demise. Thank you for all your time, effort and energy. 🤗
