Mishal shared his views regarding his character Viplav. The actor said, "Though he is studying law, he loves to break every possible law in Banaras. When he meets 'Dhani', he is transformed into quintessential Indian lover boy. I love the different layers my character has, which was the main reason why I accepted this role." He further added, "Similarity between 'Viplav' and 'Mishal' is, we both run after girls and the difference is that girls run only after 'Viplav' and not the latter."
Eisha Singh, 11th standard student from Bhopal was in for a pleasant surprise when she got a call for the final audition for the role of 'Dhani'. Eisha who has done theatre earlier shares her love for chocolates with her co-star Mishal. When we asked Eisha about her studies, she promptly replied, "I will never stop my education. I have managed till now and hope to continue it in future too." It was difficult for a loud, bubbly girl like Eisha to play 'Dhani' who is quiet and traditional. "I had to tone down a lot for my on-screen persona. Since it was challenging to go out of my comfort zone, I enjoyed it," said Eisha.
The show's other cast includes, Vidya Sinha, Arun Bakshi, Daksh Ajit Singh, Garima Shrivastav and Pratima Kazmi. Talking on the occasion, Rupali Guha informed that the concept is based on a story by great author Mahasweta Devi. Veteran Bollywood actress Vidya Sinha who is playing 'Sushma Tripathi' feels that the concept is unique and the cast adds extra flavor to it. She is all praise for the lead pair. She confessed that young Eisha reminds her of none other than Jaya Bachchan.
Comparison between 'Ishq Ka Rang Safed' and certain show based on a child widow aired on a rival channel, is obvious. When we quizzed Mishal about it, he politely refused saying, "I am not aware of any such show." Whereas Eisha confessed that she had watched 'Prem Rog' to prepare for her role. It will be interesting to see if this show offers different colours or remain monochromatic, as the script moves further.
'Ishq Ka Rang Safed' will be aired on Colors from 10th August 2015, from Monday to Friday at 6.30 pm.
