Recap - Jalal misses his mother and seeks comfort from Jodha. He tells her of Nisha's sudden visit the day before. Jodha was interrupted before she could confess her feelings. Nisha sees Jodha crying and spreads rumors about Jalal and Jodha. Reaching his limit, Jalal gives Nisha the ultimatum on whether she is willing to go to the US or hand in her resignation letter, in which she chooses the latter.
Jodha felt bad when she heard of Nisha's decision of handing in her resignation letter. She always knew deep down that Nisha had never really liked her. Fine, Nisha never really liked anyone at all but she was always discreet about it except for when it comes to Jodha. Although Jodha feels that Nisha shouldn't have taken such a decision, the final decision was Nisha's, if Nisha decides that this is the best choice to choose out of the two then so be it.
As far as Jalal is concern, Nisha had made her choice. He wanted her out of his life, and Jodha's but somewhere along the road he wanted Nisha to choose to go to US instead of handing him her resignation letter because he did truly believe that she would have done well if she was sent there. All he can say is she missed out on an opportunity that might not come the second time.

After work
Jodha came in Jalal's office and asks
"Will Shareefuddin be fetching you home?"
"Yes, he is. Why?"
"Just asking. What will you be having for dinner?"
"I don't know, take-out maybe?"
"Take-out huh, tell you what, why don't you come over for dinner?"
"Dinner? At your place?"
"Yeah. I'll prepare dinner for the both of us, you can come over and eat."
"Jodha, I don't..."
"Or you could simply just come over to take the dinner from my place. You don't have to order take-outs from a restaurant, I can make you dinner and you can have a homemade take-out that I make."
"I... Okay, I will take you up on that offer."
"Good, then I'll get a ride from Moti today."
"I can drop you home."
"It's okay Jalal, I need to do shop for groceries anyways. I'll go with Moti, you go home and freshen up before coming."
"Okay. So, we meet at 8pm?"
"8pm sounds good."
"So, I'll see you later then.
"Uh huh. Oh, what would you like for dinner?"
"I'm okay with anything."
"Really? No, preference what so ever?"
"No."
"I'll think of something then. See you later. Bye, Jalal."
"You too."

Jodha started preparing dinner after returning home from the grocery store and freshening up. She didn't really know what Jalal's favourite dish was so she decided to play safe by making some rotis with aloo ki sabzi and just in case she even made some spaghetti Bolognese.
Everything was prepared, she just hopes that he will come up and eat rather than have a take-out'. She wanted this to be special as this would be their first dinner date. She wore another green anarkali suit she had paired with matching earrings, bangles and a tiny green rhinestoned bindi especially for Jalal.
She had wanted to wear this particular suit ever since he told her his favourite colour was green, and today she finally got to wear it. She wants their first dinner date to be perfect, she kept some candles on stand-by ready to bring it out just so the two of them can have a romantic candle light dinner and create a nice atmosphere for Jodha to confess to Jalal.
She had wanted to tell him how much she loves him earlier in his office and she almost did until Nisha interrupted them. Now she can make up for it and tell him she loves him too. She's all dressed up, dinner is ready, only thing missing is the person himself. It's already quarter pass eight and Jalal still wasn't here yet so Jodha calls him up.
"Hello, Jalal where are you?"
"I'm almost there Jodha."
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
Just as she hangs up, the doorbell rings. She smiles thinking He must be here already. She rushes over to the door excited to see him, opens it and was surprised to see the person or rather people standing at the front door.
"Maa, papa, you guys are back?!"
"Yes beta, aren't you happy to see us?" Mainawati asks when she sees Jodha wasn't all too happy to greet them in.
"O-Of course I'm happy to see you guys maa. Come on in, I was just surprised, you didn't mention coming home today."
Everyone came in, they were now surprised as they saw the table all set up with food. Mainawati turned to Jodha and asked. "Jodha, are you expecting someone?"
"W-What?" Jodha stammered as she was struggling to make an excuse when Mainawati points to the table asking the same question again.
"Y-Yes maa, I'm actually expecting Moti." Jodha lied.
"Moti's coming over for dinner?"
"Yes, I mean no."
"Jodha beta, are you alright?" Mainawati asked as her daughter was behaving strangely.
"I'm fine maa, what I meant was that I wasn't sure if Moti is coming up for dinner or if she wants me to pack the dinner for her."
"Why pack dinner for her? Ask Moti to come up and have dinner here with us."
Just then Jodha's phone rings she immediately picks up the phone not wanting her mother to see Jalal's name on her phone.
" Hello Jodha, I'm downstairs. I'll be up in a minute."
"Oh, you're here already? Hey Moti, why don't you come up and have dinner with us, maa, papa, bhaiya and bhabhi are back." Jodha told Jalal.
"I'll be waiting in my car, the black Benz."
"Ok, I will pack the food for you. Bye."
"Bye."
"She's not coming up to have dinner with us?" Mianawati asked.
"No maa, she doesn't want to disturb us. I'll pack dinner and go give it to her."

Jalal's heart skipped a beat when he sees Jodha all dressed in green walking towards his car with a bag in her hand. She opens the car door and sits saying
"I'm so sorry, my family just came back without a word. Even I was shocked when I saw them standing at the front door."
As Jodha continued on about how she planned everything and it just flopped, Jalal was taking in on her appearance. She was wearing green again was his first thought when he first saw her coming out the lobby. He went back to the first day he met Jodha at the bus stop, the very day that changed his life.
"I'm sorry." He hears her say as he broke out from his reverie and asks
"Why are you apologizing?"
"I-I don't mean to hide our relationship from my family."
"It's okay Jodha."
"Did you tell your family about me? About us?"
His demeanor changed, his body stiffened, his eyes turned cold the warmth that was there just a moment ago vanished as though it had never been there and she knew then that what she had asked wasn't appropriate and immediately apologized.
"I'm sorry Jalal, I didn't mean to upset you."
He soften up a little saying "I'm sorry Jodha, I haven't tell them too."
Jodha's eyes welled up after hearing what he said and after a pause she said "I understand, I-I myself haven't told them and how would you..."
"Jodha, I-I don't... I'm not close with my family. As a matter of fact, it's been 5 years since I've spoken to them."
"Oh Jalal, I'm so sorry. I didn't know."
"There's nothing to be sorry about, I made the decision to not have any relation with them."
Jodha held his forearm and lean on his shoulder, lacing their fingers together giving him her silent comfort as he took time to compose himself. There was only silence between them until Jodha asked "Do you miss them?"
Jalal's hold tightens.
"I... Not until today."
"And you never tried to contact them all these years." She said more as a statement than a question.
"Never." He answered and the silence came creeping back.
After a while he broke the silence saying "Today is her birthday. Ammi's." She looks up to find him with a faraway look in his eyes and a sad smile in his face that tugs her deep within.
"She turns 45 years old this year." He continued.
"You should call her up and wish her." She suggested.
He looked down at her as she smiles at him. "I-I don't know what to say, it's been so long since I've spoken to her."
"Well, you can start off by wishing her. Ask her how she's doing, tell her how you are. Things like that."
"Do you think... Will she talk to me? Even after all the things I did and said?" He asked.
"I'm sure she will Jalal." She assured him.
"You don't understand Jodha, I-I said many things to her. Things that shouldn't have been said to her and done things that shouldn't have been done."
"She's your mother Jalal..." She said when his face changed hurt written all over it, his eyes welled up with a lost look in it and he looked like a wounded child. Jodha didn't seem to realize as her gaze was fixed to their entwined fingers and continued
"She loves you and I'm sure that she has long forgotten about the past. She must miss her son a lot. Besides, you could tell her about us..." She stopped as she realized her slip of tongue. Yes, it would be nice if he did tell his family about the two of them but it wasn't the right time. Just as she was about to apologize again Jalal spoke
"I will."
"Jalal, you don't have to just because I said it."
"I want to Jodha." Jodha hugged Jalal, she was thrilled that he wanted to tell his family about her. She desperately wants to tell him how much she loves him but she can't right now. It has to be special, she wants him to be happy for when she tells him her true feelings. So many things had taken place today, and every time she planned on confessing to him something keeps popping up. She will find a perfect time to tell him eventually, someday though, not today.
"I'm sorry that I can't say the same to you. I want to tell them Jalal, truly I do. I-It's just that I'm scared of what maa and papa will say when I tell them about you... W-What if they oppose of our relationship Jalal?"
"They won't."
"How can you be so sure?"
"Well, for one I'm good looking, successful, and most importantly I love you. They're not going to be able to find anyone better than me."
Jodha giggles and says "You are right they can't find anyone better than you. Seriously though, how can you be so sure?"
"I'm not." He said as he took her face into his hands and looked into her eyes saying "But, the thing I'm sure about is that no matter what, I'm never letting you go. Ever. You get it, ever."
She nodded and with that his lips found hers as though sealing this silent promise of never letting the other go no matter what the future plans for them.
