Article: Dr Anjali--Who says i'm Catty?

How is Dill Mill Gayye shaping up? We've been shooting for Dill.. for nearly two months now, but it hardly feels like work. Frankly, I didn't know what to expect from the show. Dr Anjali is rather nasty. What is it like playing her? It was pretty tough initially. I didn't get her look right.. if I tried an angry look, it would turn out funny on camera. Basically, being so bold and outright doesn't come easily to me. But I finally managed to get the bitchy act right. So you're not like her? Not at all. If someone wronged me, I would- n't have the guts to show my anger. Most peo- ple think I must be catty because of the way I look but that's not so. I'm quite a doormat actually. What's your equation with your co- stars? It's great. We talk all day long and even hang out when we aren't shooting. Apparently the friction between your on-screen sister Shilpa Anand and you extends beyond the shoots? Shilpa and I? No way! We're like real sisters. She has no malice in her at all. The last show you were in was Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.. why the long gap? I did do a show for Sahara One, then Ken Ghosh's Ada. But I wasn't happy with the shows being offered. I also worked for a travel chan- nel, Voyage TV. So, I have been around. All I will say is that I've learnt along the way. Are you thinking of doing any other shows right now? I've been offered a few projects. But besides Dill Mill Gayye I can't work on anything else. And I think it's worth it that way.
