Ishq Ka Rang Safed - Written Update (10th July 2015: Episode 1)
A woman's voiceover with loads of Hindi writing at the start: she starts by introducing the show's concept and storyline. She explains that the story is based on the life of a young widow named, Dhani. She has to face a lot of difficulties and follow all the strict and low mentality traditional customs every widow has to follow in India. At first, she believes that living with the society's rules and following them is her life's meaning. However, this story is different and something else is written in Dhani's destiny. After that, the woman continues to depict that there is no law of God that states that a woman cannot live her life with self respect and cannot even try to earn & find true love in her life.Dhani gets all of that in her life and then becomes someone who inspires many other widows to live with self respect and proves that every woman who becomes a widow deserves a second chance in life and a loving man. ⭐️ Lastly, the woman narrates that they have taken this initiative to illustrate this story through this show's platform to the audience as their purpose and main aim is to change such people's mentality, and their attitude and low thinking towards widows in the society. 👏
Sneak Peak Promo: right after the voiceover ends, a sneak peak of the upcoming scenes is shown. Firstly, a lot of widows are going into a old building (I think it's a temple) together all dressed in white sarees, except one woman who is dressed in a pure red saree whose standing out amongst the crowd of the widows. Then, the title track "Ishq Ka Rang Safed" starts playing in the background. Dhani breaking her red bangles against the wall is shown, her praying in the river is shown, the show's lead actor is shown on a boat standing and stretching his arms. The boat is on the same river where Dhani is praying. Dhani is shown praying with a few other widows. The frame shifts and she's then shown being dragged down the stairs of the temple by a holy man who continues dragging her infront of the he crowd and insults her along with another holy man who starts shouting at her. They demean her and call her a unlucky, horrible woman and a widow who should be harmed and hurt very badly. Dhani is shown crying really badly, hiding her face with her veil. Then the hero guy is shown throwing red colour in her face and saree out of a tray whilst she's just standing still and he then walks away with confidence. The scene shifts again and now Dhani is being shown being washed with cold water in many buckets by another widow who is trying to get rid of the red colour on Dhani's saree and body. Later, Dhani is shown bowing down to the same holy man in the temple as he claims that whoever stays away from widows like her will stay happy in life. The sneak peak ends and the montage of the show is shown just moments before the episode begins.
Scene 1: the episode starts with various shots of the busy city of Banaras, where there are loads of temples and the night lights are shown. On the riverside at late midnight, a guy is standing on the boat stretching his arms widely and turning a glass bottle round and round. *Holy background music plays* His two friends sitting at the back of the boat with bottle too seem to be singing and cheering on for him. They then wish him happy birthday and he smiles as they say his only here for a bit and then he will fly to US, Obama's country. Viblav is his name that they call him and he whistles effortlessly waving his hand in the air like a plane. They emphasise on how great fun they think his life is as he is going straight to the US from Kachorigali. They are very drunk and joke around about him dancing to pop music abroad after following pure Sanskriti in India. His phone rings and he tells his friends to shut up. A girl on video call wishes him on his birthday whom he calls 'sweetheart'. She continues giving him loads of kisses over the video call. He thanks her and she tells him she misses him and he should come there as soon as possible. He assures her he will be there with her in a few days. Viplav criticises the city by saying there's nothing good enough to do in it plus it's full of dead people. The video call of theirs ends with him and the girl giving each other very loud blow kisses and his friends laugh loudly in the background later. They make dirty and silly jokes to which Viplav laughs and simply reacts by throwing alcohol out of the bottle on them. They play around like that for some time and then he explains the nature of such girls who leave boys easily. His friends ask him which kind of girl he wants to marry if not her, and he says that his 24 years old today so he won't lie. Viplav describes the type of girl he would like to marry as pure, just like a Hindu goddess, completely untouched; he feels that he won't find such a girl, forget in Banaras, not even in the whole world...he swears to God and almost drops in the river as his friends panic with a scream but he manages to balance himself. Him and his friends then laugh about it and enjoy their drinks on the boat.
Scene 2: it's very early morning and Viplav and his friends are shown as sleeping on the boat which is still on the river right in the middle. Viplav wakes up and sees it's morning then sees the beautiful view by standing at the peak of the boat. He shouts at his friends to wake up right away and tells them off for drinking so much that they don't even realise when it's morning. Viplav Tripathi's friends wish him on his birthday once again in the early morning. Whilst they are all talking, Viplav's friends spot a very beautiful and elegant woman from a distance across the 'Janki Ghaat' cleaning herself in her white saree in the river. While all 3 friends are admiring her, Viplav is the one who has completely lost his senses and is in awe of her beauty. Later, Viplav's friend come from behind and hits Pankaj for looking at her like that and jokes that his blind because she must be in her forties in age according to him. Just then, Viplav disagrees and calls both of them blind instead and claims that both are wrong and he thinks that she must be in her twenties or she could even be aged 18, not more than that. Him and his buddies then bet on her age, at first his friends decide to bet on 5000Rs but Viplav Tripathi increases it to 50,000Rs as it's his birthday and he implies his thought that his standard as a Tripathi is so much higher than his friends are thinking. They all agree on this bet and Pankaj cheers on stating that this bet is going to be fun. Viplav jumps into the river excitingly and swims smoothly upto the edge of the river/by the river ghaat. *Lively yet dramatic background music plays as he swims to talk to the woman.* Eager Viplav reaches there and searches for the woman exactly where she was standing but unfortunately he doesn't see her around.
