Gives money to a 23-year-old girl suffering from arterial blockage to help get her a pacemaker

Publicity stunt or not, Rakhi Sawant continues to help the needy. On Saturday afternoon, the item girl drove to Kandivli to visit a 23-year-old critically ill girl called Sapna Mitkar. Along with her beau Abhishek Awasthi, she donated Rs 60,000 to help Sapna get a pacemaker. Sapna is suffering from arterial blockage in her heart.
Sapna's sister Rachna is an actor on Zee's Betiyaan, but hasn't yet been able to collect Rs 2 lakh for the pace-maker. The two sisters lost both their parents five years back.
TV appeal
Actress Nupur Alankar (also of Betiyaan) helped Rachna with Rs 5,000, but other members of the unit did not respond to Rachna's situation. That's when Nupur suggested that Rachna make an appeal to the public through India TV.
Says Rachna, "Thanks to Nupur for suggesting that I make an appeal and also for her financial contribution. I was pleasantly shocked to see Rakhi Sawant at my doorstep on Saturday, asking about my ailing sister. Before I could even ask her to sit, she said she had seen my appeal on television and wanted to give me some money. When she said she was giving us Rs 60,000, I couldn't believe my ears. If there were more people like Rakhi, we would be living in a far better world."
Says Rakhi, "I have done what every good citizen should do. I can't see people in distress. I have seen some very hard days in my life and I know how tough it gets when the chips are down. So when I heard about Rachna's situation on TV, I donated as much as I could afford. If I win Nach Baliye 3, I may well bear the entire cost of Sapna's surgery and hospitalisation."
Hopeful
Rachna is ecstatic about Rakhi's donation, and says, "She is a fantastic human being. She has helped many people, but hasn't made all her good deeds public. She told me she'd also donated some money for another cause else she would have helped me with the entire expenses right away. She is like Jackie Shroff and Salman Khan. I've heard that Jackie paid Rs 8 lakh to a paralysed person from my production unit. Salman too has a heart of gold from all that I have read about him. I will try to approach them too. I hope I am able to collect Rs 2 lakh to cure my sister."

awww so nice of her...even if its publicity stunt too I dont mind becoz she is doing something...& thru doing publicly only others also get motivation to do something for needed people...No use to hide these things...its really a motivation/inspiration like if rakhi does why cant we too? & we dont need to be a Millionaire or something to do these things too 👏

its great to find such a compassionate person but with people like rakhi sawant who r always pushing harder to stay in public eyes it is always a bit difficult to belive in the true intension of such causes how much human and moral they might be. may be if the event had not occured during nb3, who knows so much has been done to create a gimmik and impression , after all ista all about public voting
