Talking about the U-turn of testimony given by a crucial eye witness, Salman's lawyer cries foul play
The month of May was torridly difficult time for actor Salman Khan as he was convicted by the court for 2002 hit-and-run case. But just a day later, he got out of jail on bail, which led to wave of euphoria among Salman fans.
Salman's lawyer now has spoken about the U-turn of statements given by a crucial eye witness, Muslim Shaikh, who was among the few who were injured in the accident. The eye witness had told the court back in 2006, that he had not seen anyone getting down from the car after the accident. Later in 2014, he had given a statement saying that he had seen Salman Khan getting down from the car after the accident.
"It appears that with age, memory becomes sharper. why do you need to tutor a witness when there are eyewitnesses who are alive and available and not examined?" said lawyer Amit Desai.
"A key question still remains to be answered...who was driving the car," lawyer added. The next hearing of 2002 hit-and-run case is scheduled to happen on August 25.
