I really respect her for this. I have no words. First how gracefully she spoke about it (it's never easy) and now she is taking a step further with this foundation against depression. True use of her stardom, to reach all her fans who are maybe somewhere going through the same..

Edit to Add: I'm not a fan, I don't follow her. Although I will appreciate her when due and not back down just because I'm suppose to be someone else's fan and as per this forum, we have to maintain ourselves in groups. That's so childish. I do find it disturbing when such steps are linked with promotion of a film.

What will she gain by announcing this foundation as far as her upcoming film is concerned? An extra crore or 2? That's it? Learn to appreciate where due... She suffered depression, she spoke about it, and it has helped many of those who follow her! Lastly, actors are business people. They have to put their earnings somewhere. As long as it's done in good will of others, it should be appreciated. Go for it Deepika.

Talking about Depression when it is still widely perceived as a stigma is quite difficult. Taking it a step further and starting a foundation is truly commendable. So proud of her.

I hope this foundation have educated volunteers who approach people and help them deal with depression.Because I feel just funding money isn't sufficient people suffering from depression need people to listen and understand them.
