TOI:Hiten Tejwani: 'My wife & In-Laws are ecstatic about my r

'BalikaVadhu', the celebrated show has consistently kept its storyline gripping over the years. The drama will soon be adding a new twist as TV's much-loved actor Hiten Tejwani joins the cast. Hiten will be essaying the character of 'Anant', a handsome man in his late forties caught in an ill-fated marriage.


In the hopes to gain financial stability and faced with coe'rcion from his wife, Anant changes his profession from medicine to business. His marriage to his wife inevitably reaches a crescendo of hatred thereby deciding to send their young daughter 'Nidhi' to study at 'Shiv Niketan'. Nidhi however faces health issues at which her teacher 'Anandi' played by Toral Rasputra intervenes and meets her student's father, Anant played by Hiten Tejwani.

Speaking on his role as the family oriented 'Anant', Hiten commented saying, "Balika Vadhu has become a household name. For me, getting an opportunity to join the cast is wonderful. I will be playing a man who is a father of Anandi's favorite student but also a character who is striving to change his life for the better. My own family has been very ecstatic especially my wife and in-laws who are avid followers of the show that I am going to be part of the show. I hope the viewers will enjoy my role."
