Hello everyone!

I'm trying my hand at writing episode analysis/reviews for the first time so brick bats welcome. I am hoping I'll be able to post these on a daily basis. Let's see how that goes. Please feel free to post your own comments and views about the episode and please feel free to agree or disagree with my point of view.

-----

It was supposed to be the big revelation day, the one that would put all the pieces together and have us go "oh wow! So that's what happened!". Though all of us had pretty much guessed it already.

Sneha Chaubey/Agnihotri/Mathur - I am not sure I sympathize with the character at all. She fell in love, got married in secret, made plans to elope, her "husband" ditched her, she found out she was pregnant so she ran away with another guy? And her family, not even her mother who still loves her to death, had any clue whatsoever? She didn't even mention any of this once to her mom? She said she was afraid of her dad but what about her mom? Is it just to me that this looks like Sneha was desperately looking for a means of escape? From her family? In one of the earlier episodes when the girls get to know GC is their nanaji, Sneha says "iss ghar mein meri koi jagah nahi.. Na pehle tha na ab hai.." Or something to that effect. Maybe when GC asked her why she didn't tell her family anythig about dev and her and their love, Sneha should've elaborated on why it was actually impossible for her to tell anyone in her family than just brush it over with I was scared of you. Baath kuch hazam nahi hui.

But I am impressed with GC though.. He was unwilling to forgive Rishi and Sneha for eloping for what 20-25 years? And held so much bitterness. But then he is willing to forgive, forget and make amends now that he knows his daughter loved another guy, secretly got married to him and had plans to elope with him. And not to mention she got pregnant too. She ran away with Rishi to "save the family's honor" so now all that is maaf? Khair.. I guess you've got to let go of things at some point.

It's going to be interesting though - this Dev - Sneha track. I think dev is a good guy at heart. It'll be interesting to see how the girls react to all this. Especially Rachita and Amaya. Rachita because she gets to know Rishi isn't her dad and Dev is; Amaya because, if and when Sneha and dev do decide to get together, how will Amaya accept someone taking the place of her superman in the family? Or will Mantu's love have given her the clarity to realize that dev won't ever be able to replace her Superman but she will have to accept him as a part of their lives, especially her mom's life?

That brings me to the leads - Mantu and Amaya. The Bin Tere song somehow seemed a little ill fitted on them. I think Yeh Dooriyan suits them better but that's entirely just a personal opinion. I liked that despite the fact that he was telling himself he should've nothing to do with her since she doesn't care, as soon as he finds out about the strike, he rushes to her. And when he meets her , it's probably the relief of having seen her, the love that he was trying to hide that made him forget his anger at her for not calling or texting him once and blabber about the strike. Boy! Did Mantu look angry when Amaya rode away with Rudra on the bike or what? I guess Mantu was taking his bhadas out on Rudra intentionally during the fight after all eh?

Now, I'll be honest. I've been waiting desperately for this rain fight sequence to air ever since I saw the SBB segment. But I was disappointed. Not with the scene or the acting but with the editing. It would have been so much better if we had close up shots of Mantu from the moment he caught that goon by his neck to all the thrashing. The intensity, pain, anger that Dhruv portrayed would have been captured so much better with close up shots than with these wide angle shots. We could have done without seeing actually how Mantu punched the guy if we'd gotten to see the ferocity on his face as he punched them. Even when he raises the kettle at Amaya, we don't get a close shot to see the pain and the anger on his face. What a pity! But I loved, loved and absolutely loved the way Mantu asks Amaya why she wants to know why he did all this. That one "kyun" he said had it all - his heartache, his pain, his frustration, his love.. Everything. Hats off Dhruv! For pulling off that simple one word dialogue with such beauty!

I like that Rudra is taking a back seat and watching the happenings. I have a feeling Rudra can, knowingly or unknowingly become a catalyst in ManYa's love story. Isn't it the golden opportunity for him if he encourages Mantu and Amaya, knowing that the Chaubeys or Sneha herself might not be too happy with the rishta? Khair. That's a thought for another day.

Coming back to Mantu, darling, please.. Please.. Just say it.. Say that you love her so Amaya can be free of that ridiculous oath she took. I wonder how Mantu will react when he gets to know of this bet between the two girls? In a way it was objectifying him. Hmmm...

Anyways, hopefully tomorrow if Mantu does confess, it'll be shot at close up so we can enjoy the amazing acting abilities of Dhruv.

awesome analysis...👏
dev-sneha track depends on the extend dev goes for revenge on Mathurs...if its too deep...there is no way back...becos fact remains the fact he was responsible for rishi's downfall...sneha loosing her husband and the 3 daughters loosing their father...yes commit suicide decision was taken by rishi himself as he felt...he failed as a husband and father...but who pushed him to such extend...its dev...after knowing that dev is responsible for rishi's downfall...sneha hates him...i wonder how the 3 girls react...after knowing that dev is responsible for their father's downfall...especially rachi and amaya...since the man who is responsible for rishi's downfall is her own father...the man who pushed to commit suicide is also her father who pampered her as a princess..and for amaya...her boss responsible for her superman's downfall and death...

I am really worried abt the girls now...how they will react?...what decision they will take?...will rishi's happy family drift apart due to this bitter truth?...or they will unite to fight dev and bring back their father's honour and respect which was malign by dev?...no matter what is the bitter truth...rachi will always be known as rishi's darling daughter...

I am having the same fear as sneha...with this bitter truth coming out...rishi's happy family with his 3 darling angels might drift apart...rishi's happy family might scatter...

to be honest...i don't want sneha to be pair with dev...after all that happened to rishi...the fact remains a fact that he is responsible for rishi's downfall and the misery of Mathurs...he is blinded by revenge...he can go any extend...i forsee him joining hands with rudra to destroy Mathurs-Chaubeys...

Very well written!
I agree with u on chaubeji part...the previous episodes and the ongoing episode does not match...it looks like they hv changed the track...suddenly everything forgiven and forgotten Achanak se is a lil hard to digest...plus why chaubeji is so scared of Dev...I still can't understand when he didn't even know the reason behind it.

Dev - Sneha track would be interesting for sure...Sneha will not forgive Dev at all...and when Dev will get to know the truth...his biggest punishment he is going to go through would be the hatred of his love and his own daughter...he will have to go through a long way of repentance ...

As far as daughters r concerned...it depends how the writers wants to take the story ahead...either they will make them all stand together against Dev even after knowing the truth or the girls wud drift apart...as feared by Sneha. Amaya as we know is too possessive about her superman so no way she is going to allow Dev to step in her house...and we have already seen the beginning of the spark between both of them...she will hate him more...and as far as Rachita is concerned ...she might after a whilewant Sneha to get back to Dev...as we hv already seen the bond between them has already begun to show...

About manta and amayas romance...frankly I find it very fake lol...too much overacting specially from amayas side...not much interested to discuss lolzzz

Its all depends what extend dev goes in form of revenge...as i forsee him joining hands with rudra to destroy Chaubeys-Mathurs...i don't understand why he wants to destroy the Mathurs now when rishi is no more in the world...he has already destroyed rishi and brought his whole family to the streets...what more does he want?...what is his enimity with GC...its not clearly explained...there is lots of loopholes in the past story...i really can't connect with it

It would be awesome if rachi was real daughter of rishi...dev is the new man in sneha's life who falls in love with her and accept rishi's 3 daughters as his own...the 3 daughters unites to get their mother married to dev...

as far as I can see...they hv shown Dev as an extreme character...he loved Sneha to the extent that even when he was kidnapped ...he was worried about Sneha every second...so when he came to know that Sneha married Rishi...he was full of hatred and wanted a revenge and answers for her unloyalty towards him...he goes though extreme emotions...who doesn't let it go...and now after Rishi's death he wants to know the reason that why Sneha did not wait for him...and will go to any extreme to get his answer...

I like this track better...it would have been boring to watch the Same track of love story for both mothers and daughters ...😆😆

Thank you everyone for chipping into the discussion! :)

I don't know why but I can't seem to view Dev in a completely negative light. I feel as though he is a grey character as of now but might turn out to be positive in the end. Kind of like Chaubeyji, even he left no stone unturned to insult and ridicule the Mathurs but now he seems to have had a change of heart. And his sense of betrayal and hurt also stemmed from the fact that he loved Sneha so much. But as someone pointed out, he seemed to be more vindictive towards Rishi than Sneha at most times. Is there a story there? Was Rishi his employee or someone? Sneha had to have known Rishi pretty well too to have decided to run away with him. She definitely would not run away a stranger she'd known for a month or so especially after whatever happened between Dev and her. That's maybe part of the story that'll be revealed later.

Coming back to my point, I have a feeling once Dev realizes the truth, he will have a change of heart too and I'd prefer it that way because that'll add such a whole new level of complexity to the story. How do Sneha and the girls forgive a guy who destroyed their father and pushed him to the brink of suicide? In his defense, dev must have loved Sneha that much to have gone to that extent in his fury. And he himself said that he did all this just so Rishi mathur would be forced to return to Banaras and he could have his answers. He had no idea Rishi would go kill himself. Which by the way, I think was very cowardly of Rishi to do. No matter the circumstance. Hari is in pretty much the same situation and he is dealing with it, isn't he? Anyways..

If Dev does turn positive, regrets everything he did and genuinely seeks forgiveness, that'd be such an awesome track in the storyline! Especially for Rachita coz it's her dad.. I can't imagine Dev joining hands with Rudra to destroy the Mathurs though. But again, that depends on when and how Dev gets to know the truth. If he gets to know it too late.. Well.. Maybe he would have become a negative character beyond repair by then :( I for one hope that does not happen.

Someone pointed out that Mantu and Amaya's love story seems fake. I agree that it does seem rushed. They never explored how, when and why Mantu developed feelings for Amaya and I am rather disappointed that they didn't. Initially, Amaya's infatuation seemed rather childish to me. But that one scene where Mantu leaves the Shravan Pooja and rushes to help Uma and Amaya looks on completely heartbroken.. That scene was so brilliantly acted out by Hiba that I started believing in Amaya's love. Till then it was childishness to me.

I was hoping for that kind of a scene with Mantu too. The only two that came close were 1) where the mala from Mahadev's aarti falls on Mantu & Amaya! The way Mantu looks from the mala towards Amaya.. It was heartstoppingly beautiful! And 2) in the moh moh ke dhaage sequence, when Mantu puts the mala on himself and raises it to imagine Amaya there are puts the other end around her neck. That was a beautiful beautiful scene especially because of the way Dhruv enacted it. His face reflected the surprise, him being so in awe of her, the hesitance that his fortune had been so gracious to him and the longing for that moment to be real. Such an amazing scene!

So yeah, Amaya's love started off looking more like an infatuation and we never really got to see Mantu's realization but where the two of them are right now is as in love as anyone can be. I only hope that instead of turning Amaya into a typical soap heroine who believes in sacrifice and blah blah blah, they show her as the sensible, modern girl that she is and Mantu and her help Uma deal with the fact that Mantu loves Amaya and not her. I really don't want a sacrifice drama though I know that's probably what we are headed towards.

P.S - Anyone want to help me throw Uma into the Ganges and have her washed away to some unknown village in some far away land?
