Gul says that Season 4 is going to be a totally new story. BECAUSE:
- Post leap, Surbhi will romance two men, not one.
- She will be romancing AG's sons
- She will obviously look like her mom, :-)
What is fresh and new about this story may I ask? Even in season 1, there was a forced triangle, as was in season 2 as was in season 3. Yes, TRPs and fans forced the CVs to twist their "tale" but it's true for all seasons.
In each season, SJ's character romanced her "Dushman's" relative/son in a way. Again, what is new there? In season 1, Asad and Rashid were related to Gafoor and Rashid was (till they changed the story) responsible for Zoya's Ammi's Death. In Season 2, Surbhi romances Amrapali's sons, and In Season 4, she will romance Aditi's sons. What is new there?
She will look like Zoya. I mean, is serial ko koi hamshakal's ka Guinness World Record do yaar... Please... I mean, please...
I don't understand one thing? Every season CVs have a potential for a wonderful story - A Layered web with interconnected players as the playground, each player with a mysterious past, the male lead with many layers... Perfect contrasts, plots. Then, suddenly someone catches the fantasy of this PH and they stretch and stretch and stretch, till they don't know how to undo the mess, and then, RESTART!
I mean seriously? There were so many TRP pullers that were possible in Season 1, Had this been executed brilliantly. Same was the case in Season 2 and 3. Don't trust me? Well let's take a look:
1. Asad-Rashid show down. This had so much of a TRISHUL type potential where Asad almost brings down Rashid and Asad-Ayaan clash was also possible here.
2. Zoya-Abbu show down, Zoya-Asad showdown because of Abbu...
3. Perfect potential for triangle (without black-washing (UGH is that a word) Tanu beyond redemption, because she could just have been a simple catalyst who shows Asad that not all is what it looks = never judge a book by its cover. Asad could have been engaged to Tanu, only to slowly realize that though Zoya is not what he thought his perfect partner should be, he is attracted to her. There were so many scenarios that he was not even aware of that could have resulted in his budding relationship with Zoya.
4. Perfect potential for show down between Shirin and Dilshaad...
ALL Sacrificed instead to show chicken blood, knight armors, time travel (remember Bhopal - Ajmer - Bhopal in a matter of seconds, lol), fake SRs and what not. Like, why?
Season 2 had the same potential. Aahil was a better character in terms of definition compared to Asad. He had been given more layers and more to "realize" in that sense. I am not saying he was a better person or anything, so don't misunderstand me there. I am saying that his character was better written. But come Seher, and BOOM! All goes down the drain. Sanam who had OCD, and a takhiya qalam "Allah Miyaa Pad Gaya Rola..." or whatever... CVs were jannatified all along. There was so much potential in this track (and they started right they were wrapping up negative tracks faster example Nida, and getting TRPs) but then, things got out of control again. Sehan pairing with Rehan was rushed. They should not have shown Rehan having feelings for Sanam if that is what they planned to do - but they chose the ugly path leading to SeHan... Although SeHan as an independent couple had a lot of potential. Sidelining the male lead again, but not exploring tracks like Aahil's past, Rehan-Aahil clash, Razia against Tanu... why?
Season 3, let me not even start. This triangle had a lot of potential. They could have easily shown that though initially Shaad lies to Sanam about her being married to her, he eventually tells her the truth and brings her to India to find her family. But six months or so later, they don't find any clues, for whatever reason, and that is the time during which he develops feelings for Jannat. That would be more realistic and acceptable. He proposes to Jannat at the end of his failed search and promises her new memories... That would have been romantic and fully baked? Jannat could have accepted the proposal out of obligation, though half hearted (or there could be misunderstanding like Dil To Pagal Hai Akshay proposing Madhuri), and while they plan to return, something could have made them stay back (this could very well have been Shashi Kapoor no issues) On the other hand, Aahil could have seriously kicked S2's butt, found or tried to find about Sanam and Seher (she was a family member after all) and though he loved Sanam, gone back to Jalad Jin mode. They apparently cross paths, and though he thinks Jannat is Sanam, he rubbishes that idea. Then they could have shown them becoming friends and eventually Jannat behaving exactly like Sanam and falling in love. How difficult was that? Instead of Aahil remember Sanam likes Mangola, show Jannat likes Mangola too? Slowly but surely show them fall in love and when Aahil proposes to Jannat, show that Jannat realizes what she has landed herself into and retracts... That's when Aahil comes to know of the fuller reality and then show Aahil-Shaad clash. Like, how difficult was this?
But no, instead we got witch craft, unnecessary bromance and more fake SRs. Fake SRs that didn't mean anything because Shaad is blackmailed one night only to be understood by his biradar the next morning...Like really?
Now, new story, fresh one you see?
There will be a haunting background score, some awesome chemistry and many of us may still be hooked to the new season - Gul is a master weaver in the first few months, but again, we will have the same convulated twists and after six months she will hit the RESTART button.
Not one couple has had a good life in this show.
Zoya suffered all her life craving for love but...
Asad suffered all his life struggling but...
Seher and Sanam suffered all their life but...
Rehaan craved for his ammi's love but...
And worse of all, Aahil... just suffered suffered suffered and few minutes before his death he still believes God will reunite him with Sanam and Murtuza mocks him, and in QH land, villians are more powerful than God so Murtuza is right... Aahil just suffered suffered suffered...BUT...
These "but"s hurt me and will haunt me always... Season 4 will also be the same.
Question is which known face in TELLYWORLD will now take up the challenge to be there male lead.
I am for one, not at all excited for this totally new story. Doodh ka jala to chhaach bhi phook phook ke peeta hai aur hum to bhai chaach ke jale hain...
