There have been instances in certain non-celeb shows where I have doubted the authenticity of the winner but never in DID. NB seems more rigged in who got eliminated in certain weeks than the finale itself but it does affect who goes how far. I wouldn't say it's completely clean. But it churned out deserving winner specially in the first four seasons. After that I kind of lost interest and didn't follow as enthusiastically anyway.

Sushant and Chang case was the same reason as previous 3 seasons on Sony. They wanted to make a hardcore non-dancer win. In the first two seasons, coincidentally, the non-dancer was a more popular face than the better dancer. In case of Sushant and Chang, people were really expecting the former and till date so many believe he is the one who won. I have heard that there were actually bets placed on who would win and so many lost money on Sushant.

Honestly, no other show made it as obvious as Colors' JDJ which is why people are calling out on it so much.
