Big City Girls or Small Town Girls

I have been watching this show lately, which I am assured is pretty much like every other show on TV these days

What I have noticed - The small town girl, despite lacking in years, has a dehati wisdom with which she sets about putting the city folks to rights, in the process mending broken relationships, saving companies and finding her own true love😆

Which is all well and good.

But the Bad Old City Girl seems to be the foil. The educated city girl seems to have no idea how to talk politely to people, no idea how to manage relationships and has no ideas on saving her own family's privately owned company.😲

What I am trying to figure out - is this a matter of entertainment reflecting society's flawed beliefs? Or is it that the TV show makers are generally clueless?

TV show directors and story writers are clueless male chauvinists who want to spread the believe that educated city girls are Satan in disguise whereas not so well educated village girls know it all about relationships and are Sita in disguise.

The makers are idiots.
While it might be true that the rural girls can be smart, this is not true that urban girls are snobs and brats.
Stupid things are being shown on the television these days. 🤔

But does this reflect the views of the society?
Rural - Sugar and spice and all that is nice?

Urban - The Ugly Stepsister?

Good girls and bad girls can be found in both cities and the villages. If the serial shows a particular character from either place to be good or bad how does that get generalised as true for every other girl living in the city or the village 😕

One who is familiar with TV shows knows too well how urban girls are stereotyped on a regular basis.

I think so.
I guess with time the makers have realised that this will sell in the market well and so this continues.
If the society didn't believe in this, they would have never supported these lame shows which show all this stuff. 😳 🤢

That's not true. I see some girls with rural background acting skanky when they're in 'big' city for education.

Both rural and urban have all kinds of girls. One cannot generalize like that. It's BAD to do so.

But ultimately they're shown as toppers, leaders and the best! 😳
