I used to not sleep without hearing a bed time story
Loved MN scene yesterday

I also loved the way M explained to her how a story is better than watching TV

I was 🤣 it is so true what ever TV wale show us we see no matter how crappy it is

In a story everyone imagines it differently

Aaj kal ke bacche need this; They are too much into the electronic world

+++++

Abhi is 13 and Shivam is 11

13 saal ka baccha bedtime story sunta hai?

Shivam is 11 and yes he would love to hear a bedtime story but ma ko tension mein dekhkar he must not ask for 1 instead he must ask her mom how was your day kya hua why are you worried I am there with you All will be well
Grown up too soon
+++++

Beautiful reasons. A bedtime story is far better than watching tv and sleeping off.

Bedtimes stories are something we have never been told by our parents or grand parents but stories were told by grandmothers
Even now when it comes to our kids we haven't done that with them either.

I remember my nephew is to spend a lot of time with his grandparents before going to sleep at night but don't think his grandparents told him stories either😆 Infact it's the other way round he used to eat their brains out and then come back all sleepy.😆

But now the kids have entered teens the youngest one is 10 and she has gotten into habit of reading before going to bed

---------
Since we were not used to bed time stories in our homes haven't found it odd if I didn't see Ganga Anandi not telling stories are putting the kids to sleep like settling them down for the night

Working parents in nuclear families sometimes have less time in indulging in these luxuries depending on the nature of their work . Children have to sleep early and mothers need to prepare things for next day and have to remain up till the late in night. So children sleep either by themselves or by reading a book (by watching TV now a days).

Yes, in some cases its true.
But in my case, I am a single working mother.😊

Lack of time does not stop mothers from telling stories to their children as you can tell stories even while cooking or having dinner together. My POV.
