Why anandi and ganga dont tell stories to their kids? Or is it assumed that they tell stories?

Dadisa tells stories and we have seen that.

Mangala tells stories.

What about anandi and ganga?

Anandi and Ganga are too busy trying to over see their home work and studies
But do parents have time to tell stories to their children?

Most of the times it is grand parents who tell stories to their grand kids

In my family, mothers and fathers even if they are working full time, find time to tell stories to their kids. My daughter used to ask me atleast 2 stories before dozing off!

We used our imaginations to tell new stories everyday!

And I repeated the stories that I heard from my mother/father/aunt. And sometimes even stories that I read as child. 😊

Same with me. I also repeated many stories told by my parents. My father used to be a great story teller and my mother used to tell stories heard from her mother. And Chandamama also helped a lot.

My parents told us stories very rarely . But they used to answer our questions or help us find answers for our questions quite patiently 😆
My grandmothers used to tell us stories

We too don't tell stories to our kids but follow what my parents did that is spending time answering questions and having discussions on things which interested them 😆

But my father got us into the habit of reading books very early On . Even then he never chose what books we should read but leave us in children book section in the library/book shop and would come and pick us up when we are done with selecting the books that we wanted to read.

It is not only stories. Every chil;d asks questions and parents have to answer them if they are too young to read books. We give books as birthday gifts. Fiction and non fiction.

I guess my parents were not the story telling types😆
But once in a while they used to tell us stories if they felt those stories would connect with us.
My mother used to tell stories from the book that she had been reading at that time. She told us one Harold Robbins story called A stone for Danny Fisher when we were just 9/10 year old kids😆
It was such a sad story about a kid who wanted to be help to his family but always ended up creating trouble for them and never dies before he gets to see his own kid.

Chandamama 😊. I also loved Parag, Nandan, and children's page in Dharmyug (all Hindi magazines). Till I was old enough to read myself - my parents used to read for me from these magazines and also the usual fairy tales.
