When his much awaited Eid release 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is running housefull in theatres, Salman has come up with a noble thought of donating the profits of the film to the suffering farmers in our country.

Divulging about this noble deed, BJP leader Shaina NC told PTI that the producers of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', Salman Khan and Rockline Venkatesh wish to donate money from the profits of the film to farmers.

This donation may come as a relief to the debt-ridden farmers who are committing suicide each day after failing to receive financial aid from the government.

Shaina NC along with filmmaker Kabir Khan and Salman's sister Alvira Agnihotri also met Maharashtra revenue minister Eknath Khadse and invited the politicos for watching the Salman Khan starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'.

Besides Salman, the film stars Kareena Kapoor, Harshaali Malhotra and Nawazuddin Siddiuqi in prominent roles.

The film, released on July 17, has already crossed the 100 crore mark in the opening weekend and is still running strong in theatres. - See more at: http://m.deccanherald.com/content/490748/salman-khan-donate-bajrangi-bhaijaan.html/#sthash.6U0eD8ga.dpuf

He should help those victims as well.

They mentioned it after the court case that since being in the accident life has become very hard and they have lost their providers

Lot of people where disabled. One guy lost his leg.

They live in a Mumbai slum. Salman should at least get them out of that slum.

He has heaps of properties. If his court case is OVER.

He can help these families now.

Thought his PR would stop publicising his donations once it was clear that he donates way less than some other BW stars who don't go for this kind of cheap publicity

Bajrangi Bhaijaan gets tax exemption in UP, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar to follow

By Subhash K. Jha, July 22, 2015 - 10:26 hrs IST

It's another big victory for Salman Khan's new blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan (BB). The blockbuster which has earned a reported Rs. 102 crores on the first three days, has now been granted an exemption from entertainment tax in Uttar Pradesh.

One hears several other states including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Bihar are also on the verge of exempting BB from entertainment tax.

"It has a very strong message of peace between India and Pakistan. At a time when the two countries are facing a situation of escalated mutual distrust, Bajrangi Bhaijaan spreads a message of love and brotherhood between the two countries. We definitely feel this film needs all the encouragement it can get," says a prominent member of the ruling BJP party.

Director Kabir Khan was very enthused by the tax exemption in UP. "I am very happy. Now it will reach more people. I think some more states are also considering a tax exemption for Bajrangi Bhaijaan."

Added the film's co-producer Amar Butala, "Salman Khan Films is grateful to the Chief Minister Shri Akhilesh Yadav and the Uttar Pradesh government for the kind gesture. We believe Bajrangi Bhaijaanis an important film. And we believe the tax exemption will make it accessible to a larger audience in the State."
