then certainly kids these days not as innocent

but given the scenario's out there in the world, wouldnt you want to prepare them?

This is exactly what I wanted to say and what Lighthouse has said is also something that I feel.

Nice siggy by the way, Sareg! 😆

I was watching an old 50s black and white movie and it had the same dialogue. It means every person thinks that the next generation is getting into a competitive world and is going to get spoiled unlike the previous generation. This 'hamare zamaane mein...........' speech is old and will be repeated forever.

Just the other day this girl at my work and I were discussing about this topic. The things she told be were just crazy. Seriously Kids are no more kids. Kids are innocent but loose their innocence at a earlier age than the kids 20 years before.
Well I am 19 and have a 8 year old sister. The things that she knows, I did not know until I was in 10th grade. My friend at work told me about how girls are getting their menstral cycle at age 8. And she also told me of some other stories, but its inapporirate to talk about it here.

Kids are surely changing. I wonder whats gonna happen when I have my children. I am worried about my children already.

ya i agree kids are smarter..... they know a lot more these days....

bt i think its also the way they dress.... i mean its probably the fashion industry's fault.... bt whtever teenagers wear... there is the same thing in the kids section....

i personally dont think it shud be tht way bcos kids shud be able to enjoy their childhood.... its the only time off they will get!!! 😆

This is nothing related to innocence but due to the food we are giving to the children ( that processed food containg hormons ,eg. excessive use of broiler chicken etc). If a kid know about a thing doesn't means he/she is not innocent.Being a mother of two, from my experience they know about more things at the younger age, but it is due to the circumstances in which they live.In my younger age there is not a tv in my home only a transister, but now they have a pc connected to internet(usage closly monitered). that is the difference.

It is the duty of the parent to help the child to live as a child in this changing world. In every generation the kids gather more kowledge at a given age becuase of the cariculam and new scientific inventions and changing cirumstances.
