Hey Everyone,

I am new to the forum and just started watching this show:)

I have been trying to watch this show since it started as I loved the male lead actor from Tere Liye times and this show concept looked good but didn't get the time and thought it will be hard to find the episodes from the beginning. Anyway, finally, I started few days back.

I love the show, and I especially love Jodha and Akbar as couple! ❤️ Rajat and Paridhi are doing good Job as Jodha and Akbar. The Only thing which really bothers me is that stupid Rukaya or any other girl near Akbar or coming between Jodha and Akbar. As a fan of Jodha-Akbar, I really can't tolerate these morons coming in between. If Rukaya was just some girl or other Kaneez like Benaazeer was shown as to not have any rights to be with Akbar, I would have tolerated. But the way the show is, it's that Rukaya is his wife, so she does have the right to be with him and the CVS are showing Akbar is as if being with another woman like Benaazeer despite being a married man is all okay?

I get it, this is historical show, so in old times men used to have many wives, but how do I tolerate seeing this in this century especially when I am a fan of the the main couple? And, what does a Kaneez even mean? How can a man sleep with anyone? Here I not only have to tolerate main male character's wives coming in between his and the female lead, but I also have to tolerate girls like Kaneez and anyone else.

I could've tolerated even Benazir or any other girl, but how do I become fine with Rukaya when I know she's his wife, so she will be forever holding Akbar's neck? And therefore, I would've to tolerate her forever in this show coming in between Jodha-Akbar and ruining their scenes unlike other girls who aren't in his wives.

I really lIke the actress who's is portraying the character, Rukaya as she's really good. I like Rukaya's character individually as well, but I can't tolerate her when she starts coming in between Jodha-Akbar or their scenes and that's when I start to disliking her. The sad part is that like I said she's Akbar's wife too, so obviously, she has the right and I feel bad feeling this for her and can understand her especially when she genuinely loves Jalal as friend at least and cares for him unlike the many other fake people pretending to be close to Jalal. But then again I am biased as I and many are watching this show mainly for the main lead's love story. I don't just dislike her because she becomes between the main couple, but also because the way she treats servants and others, and that I really hate in people. People who are proud and not humble.

I am in March, 2014 episodes at the moment. I love this show. I wanted to make this post just to get the opinions of other Jodha-Akbar couple fans here and the rest of fans to see how you all tolerate Rukaya or others coming in between them and their scenes? I just wanted a company in feeling this way and wanted to take this feelings out to feel a bit lighter lol.

Also, I forgot to say I love the actress playing Mahan Anga. She's really good actress. Really Amazing. I hate the misunderstanding she creates and everything she does as a negative character, but at the same time I love this actress' acting.

Okay, this became such a long post. Sorry, if anyone got bored reading it :)

I am atleast thanking that they do not show Akbar's step moms and they also having cat fight over son Jalal, actually that would be fun to watch than ruq and jodha fights, maham anga and another step mom of Akbar fighting to control him. Actually initial episode one other begum of Akbar was shown she was acting like a Bollywood heroine and getting on ruqaiah's nerves, they should have retained her to trouble ruqs and make her jealous.

Just watch maharana pratap, pratap's step mom batiyani just is unbearable she is so fake yet pratap adores her over his mom jaywanta bai

Ruqaiya's presence will have to be tolerated. You will find that as time goes on, in the serial, she will be ignored more and more. A time will come when her status will be evident to all, so also the changed situation regarding Jodha and Akbar.

Saying anything more will spoil your fun.

Yeah, I am thankful they don't show Jalal's step-moms as it would be bothering, but it wouldn't have been irritating either for me even if they were negative. For example, even though Maham Anga is the negative character and Rukaya is more like grey character, but i still dislike Rukaya more and can't tolerate her as she comes in between JA. Maham Anga create fights and misunderstanding between JA too, but at least she's like mom to Jalal and not a wife like Rukaya or some other girl Jalal has to or can sleep with. So for me others will be more tolerable no matter how negative they are rather than girls like Rukaya, Benazir, etc. Well, I hope you get my point.

Also, I have realized that so far all the misunderstanding and fights Maham Anga created between JA, it has always brought JA more closer so far in the show after the misunderstanding get cleared lol.

That's the thing about Rukaya as I know I will have to tolerate her till the end of the show since it's kind of impossible she will go away from the show or their lives which is the main reason she worries me more thinking I will have tolerate her forever in the show.

Well, I hope she becomes irrelevant soon. She's getting on my nerves. I am still in March, 2014 episodes where JA haven't even confesses their love for each other yet. So I am eagerly waiting for that thinking after that at least Rukaya scenes will be to minimum or at least stop coming and ruining JA scenes.

Good, you didn't say more as I don't like spoilers. It ruins all the excitement for me lol:)

well,first of all natakiya rupantar... in history akbar has to spend time with other begums also as his resposibility... not like in serial where he spend most time with jodha. .
I am not a antagonist of jodhajalal. i am also a die hard fan of them. but I can't deny fact that he had amost 7 legally wedded wife n.total 36 or 34 wife including secondary wives n also had Kaneez n more for various reason. it was nt possible for him to remember all of them. but he has to be responsible towards them that doesnt mean he can't love one. obviously he had some strong feeling only for jodha. sha had great impact on him. love was obviously there between them on reality n on serial.
ruks as shown in serial well I personally sympathy her initially though she has ruined many moments of joja.
as she didn't get anything from her life no child insecurity among all begums. but after salim birth I can't also tolerate her she behave like a mad woman.
but in history she was a elegant mughal lady nt like this shown on serial.
take everything lightly cause its a serial with much mirchi masala n my thing is benajir track was best among all as it brought joja more closer than ever

Why does Akbar have to spend time with other begums? Sorry if he really did that he would be having a lot more progeny with a lot of the other wives than what history says. His time was limited and he would not have wasted it on spending with people/wives he is not close to. Yes, he did take care of their food, clothing, shelter needs but physical and emotional needs, I think very very few of his wives had that privilege.

@bold 2: Which historical book says that Rukaiyya was an elegant Mughal lady? Just curious. I have nothing against Ruks darling. After all she makes things more interesting but wanted to know more about her because I really have not come across anything at all about her in my meager readings.
