Abhilasha - Konachi Mulgi???

I wonder how come sumitra is mumbaichi/maharashtrachi mulgi?

i thought Abhilasha is marathi and from pune and sumitra ayyar might be from bombay but not marathi ,,, am i right?

can anyone explain?

Yeah, She's a tamilian but I guess, brought up in Maharashtra. Hence the title, may be.

Abhilasha too, I think is a tamilian.

Sumitra is born and brought up in Mumbai so she considers herself from Mumbai, she never said she is Marathi only that she is from maharastra, thats how it is. And even Abhilasha is from Pune but she seems to be originally belonging from Andhra cos her parents speak Telugu.

Whats wrong guys? Mumbaichi mulgi can only be a proper maharashtrian ?

I think Abhilasha is tamil though.. How do you guys know that she is telugu

Amukta had posted Abhilasha's full name b4 on this forum. Abhilasha is from Andhra> hyderabad and Telugu from what i had read. Hopefully Amukta can correct me if I am wrong. or someone else can correct me if I am wrong. 😳

Hey in the new article I just read her father also is Chellam Iyer.So we have two Iyer girls on ASVOI.May be her mom is telugu coz they were speaking a few telugu words.

Amukta thanks for additional info. Whether she is Telugu or not does not make any difference. As long as she is Indian she can be part of ASVOI 😛
