Chapter 1
[This begins exactly from where the show would progress from today.đ]
He ran distances and distances searching like hell for someone. Nowhere could he see anyone! He looked left, right, front, back everyplace! But where was she? Yes! Her, he was surely looking for her. He ran forward, when suddenly, he saw her standing right in front of him, in the middle of the road. "Radhika!!" Arjun put her hand out to pull her, but someone else pulled her before he could catch her arm. He could see tears in Radhika's eyes, as she vanished into vacuum, and that's when he woke up! "Radhika!" he sat up with a jerk on his bed. Mr Arjun Mehra, saw himself lying in his bed, completely dark. It was pitch dark at an hour of midnight. Arjun drank some water, and went out in the dark, in his balcony. He sighed. Memories of his road trip and his night spent with Radhika coming rushing back, and he hated it. For a fact. "Huh! This girl has completely ruined me." he muttered in his breath, and punched his hand.
"If you accept that you are ruined, then it will do you no good other than morally weakening you more." Arjun heard the familiar voice speak from the back. He turned around. It was Nandini. She walked up to him, and held his hand. "What is wrong Arjun?" "Uhh..Nothing Nandini Di. I just woke up from a..bad dream." Arjun said, not wanting to think about it again. "Was it about Samaira?" Nandini asked him. Arjun did not answer. Nandini turned him around. "Look at me Arjun. Don't let her ruin you. She is there for you to ruin her. What Samrat did to me, I won't let Sam do that to you. Never let her take a place in your heart, as you will only harm yourself." she said, rubbing her fingers on Arjun's hands. "Nah Nandu. I will not. I have never had any feelings for her." Arjun said. "Then?" Nandini asked Arjun. "Its just.." Arjun hesitated, as the charming smile of Radhika from his engagement party came back to him. Oh! How he loved her smile! "I just was afraid, what if I am not able to bring justice for you." he said, trying to convince himself to think of Radhika as an obstacle. "You never had lack of confidence in you Arjun! What is it that is bothering you? Is it that girl Radhika? Or is it Sam's best friend? Neil? I have noticed all the people from the party!" Nandini said sternly. "No Nandu! Its nothing. I am fine. We will win." Arjun said, hugging Nandini. Nandini was not convinced, she kept on thinking, what could snatch Arjun away from her. She wanted Arjun to be a puppet of her hands only. None other than her could influence him. Nandini smiled to herself, thinking what she would do to any obstacle on the way.
The next morning, Arjun left for office after a long time. It was important to keep the support of the staff with him, in order to execute his plan of taking over Bird's Eye. For a moment, he thought if Radhika would be there. She surely would be. As Arjun was getting ready, his phone rang. It was Sam. "Hey Handsome!" the cheery voice said on the other side of the line. "Morning gorgeous." Arjun smiled nastily. "Hey! Its time we go to office. Can you come over to pick me and Chashni? She is here in my place today! And yeah! Idiot is not receiving my phone! I want to go to his place too!" Sam said. On the other side, Radhika smiled seeing Sam happy. This is what she wanted. Sam to be happy with Arjun. But somehow, she could not find any happiness for herself. The moment the thoughts of Saral came back to her heard, she could not help let a tear escape from her eye. She did not from the bottom of her heart want to marry Saral. But, how could she stop her fate? She wanted to write, she wanted to make stories, she wanted to chase her dreams, just like since a child she wanted to, and her Dadaji held her hand and made her go forward in her way. She sighed as Sam quickly came into the kitchen and hugged Radhika! "Eh Chashni! Kya kar rahi hai tu? Go get ready! We will be going to office together. Arjun is coming to pick us up." "Haan Sam. Abhi jaati hoon!" Radhika smiled, and ran into her room, hoping that Saral would not create any drama.
Radhika quickly got ready and by that time, Arjun pulled his car in front of Sam's house. Parking the car, he rang the bell. "Arjun!" Sam said, and got up from the breakfast table and opened the door. "A gaye? Come!" Sam said, and pulled Arjun in. Arjun got in with his usual smirk, and sat on the table. "Chashni!!! Come fast! Arjun is here." Sam said. "Coming Sam..." Radhika's voice came from upstairs. A spark ran through Arjun's head, but he ignored.
Five minutes passed. Radhika was still not downstairs. Sam called her name twice, and did not get any answer. "Seems like this Chashni will take the whole day to come down!" Sam said. "Arjun, please go and give her a knock. She is in my room only. I should call Neil once more.. He still hasn't called me back!" Sam said, as she picked up her back and went into another room to call Neil. Before Arjun could protest, Sam was gone. Arjun sighed. "Whenever I try to avoid her, why does she keep on coming back?" Arjun asked himself, as he walked up the stairs, going towards Sam's room. "Radhi--ika?" Arjun said softly. "Radhik--a?" he repeated when suddenly he heard her voice from Sam's room. The door was half open. "Saral! Please leave me alone. I need to go.. Sam will come any moment! Just leave me.." Radhika said, as Saral pulled her closer, sititng on the bed. He pulled her dress, trying to bring her nearer, as Radhika tried to push him away. "How dare you refuse me? How dare you! Remember, you are in Mumbai today because of my meherbaani on you. If I want, I can't force you back to Rishikesh right now and lock you in my house! What will you do!" he said. "Saral.. what is this? I can't believe you are saying this." Radhika cried. "Yakeen dila lo tum Radhu! I will cut your wings before you fly to high.." Saral said, and pushed Radhika away. Radhika tripped and was about to fall, when someone caught her. The tall handsome man on the door, held her close to himself, his one arm holding her, and his eyes at Saral. Radhika looked up at Arjun. "Sir.." she said, but Arjun did not pay attention, and helped her stand, but he did not leave her hand. Arjun noticed tears in Radhika's eyes. Those tears..drove him mad. He did not think of anything. With angry eyes, he looked straight at Saral.
