their work in their own way. While method acting is the preferred method for some, others prefer to switch off from their character when the cameras are off. Actor Ranveer Singh says that, unlike his senior Rani Mukerji who switches on and off from her performance, he prefers to stay in character.
"I'm not good enough, I'm not Rani Mukerji. Sanjay sir told me that on the sets of Black', she'd be cracking jokes, having a blast with everyone but the moment the camera came on, she'd become someone else. That's the master actor. I consider myself kachcha (raw)... I have to build myself up... I stay focused," Singh told Filmfare.
Speaking further about his experience working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani', Singh added, "I had a meeting with all the assistant directors. I told the this is an intense film, I'm a happy-go-lucky person but you will not experience that side of me on set. Please try and stay out of my way especially during intense scenes."
The actor also hopes to do a lighter film post Bajirao Mastani', claiming he will otherwise "go crazy".
Bajirao Mastani' stars Singh opposite Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. The film is slated for a Christmas 2015 release.

We know that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films are intense, but the filmmaker seems to be touching a new high with his Bajirao Mastani'. Ranveer Singh admits that he feels emotionally drained by the film.

Ranveer Singh covers the latest issue of Filmfare magazine and in the interview he speaks about the film Bajirao Mastani' with Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

In the movie Ranveer Singh plays the 18th century Maratha warrior Bajirao. Priyanka Chopra plays his first wife Kashibai. Deepika Padukone plays his second wife Mastani.

"Playing Bajirao is an emotional turmoil. There are times when I feel my head will explode on the set. It's so intense. It's like being in a trance. After the day is over, I don't know what to do with myself. I feel empty. After the shoot is over, I put on my jacket, my hoodie and I don't want to interact with human beings," Ranveer Singh is quoted as saying by Filmfare.

Shooting for Bajirao Mastani' is an experience in stark contrast to that of Dil Dhadakne Do' where the atmosphere on the set was of fun.

"Bajirao Mastani has been an intense working experience. It's the antithesis of Dil Dhadakne Do'. In DDD you weren't expected to rehearse your lines, think too much about the scene. Just come easy-breezy into it...Then for Bajirao' you go to Filmcity, you see a massive set with hundreds of people working seriously. Bajirao' is so intense and dramatic that nobody wants to break the rules on the set. You don't hear any laughing or crackling. There's no space for that," Ranveer Singh said.

Bajirao Mastani' is set to clash with Dilwale' on December 18 this year.

Never liked Sanjay Leela Bhansali films!!! This guy takes himself and his films too seriously. Ranveer- Bhansali -Looks like such a mismatch pair, i hope the film does well for Ranveer. But seriously I want Ranveer to stay away from SLB for long time after BM- He should concentrate on more contemporary massy films- This man takes so much time in making one single film and makes his actors work so hard- still films turn out underwhelming all the time. SLB ko Bacchans or Roshans keliye chor do. And I am telling this as A RS fan.

If he is anything less than awesome I'd be disappointed
