Charity
Kareena has over the years involved herself in various causes. One of her main interests is the promotion of education and she has been the ONEGOAL : Education for all ambassador in India, along with supporting UNICEF and (P&G) Shiksha Schools. Bebo also made it a point to support causes against violence against women and also launched a women safety app in association with one of her brands! While shooting for 3 Idiots' , Bebo came across the village of Chanderi and thereafter provided them with electricity, something the locals are so grateful for that they have created a special Kareena pallu' in honour of her! Bebo also made generous donations towards the Kashmir flood relief fund and has been involved in several charities.
Special achievements and honours!
Kareena has received many special honours over the years, including becoming the second Bollywood actress to get a wax replica of her made at Madame Tussauds! While she has received 6 Filmfare awards thus far she has been awarded on multiple occasions for her contribution to cinema. In her early years she was awarded with both the Smita Patel Award' as well as the Rajiv Gandhi Young Achievers Award'. She was later on awarded with several achievement awards including a special honour from the British Government!
Fashion and Fitness Icon
While her weight loss for Tashan' spurred a size zero phenomenon', Kareena has always been deemed to be one of the most stylish actresses and fashion icons. The actress, who later penned a book The Style Diary of Bollywood Diva' even launced a fashion line in association with Globus. Many of her onscreen looks have become a national rage from the Jab We Met harem pants to the Indofusion look she sported in Teri Meri Kahaani'. Designer Manish Malhotra has been a consistent feature in her wardrobe, though she has been the muse of many stylists over the years! Bebo has also been an ambassador for fitness and healthy living over the years, firmly supporting Yoga and a healthy diet. She has collaborated with her nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar on 3 projects thus far!
