ET article : Will Love triumph over hatred in Begusarai?

The quirky town of Bengusarai is all decked up to witness one of the most spectacular weddings ever. Priyom - the handsome son of Phoolan Thakur is all set to marry his childhood friend Poonam. While Poonam is in love with Priyom, the young lad is unaware of this. His only motive in marrying Poonam is to save her from the clutches of Lakhan! But is this protectiveness a sign of love? Will Priyom ever realize his love for Poonam?

As Poonam puts on her bridal attire bedecked in fineries, does she see a future with Priyom? What is the purpose of this marriage without love? Lakhan on the other hand is adamant on marrying Poonam even if that means he will have to kill the entire Thakur clan to fetch her! For the sake of the family, that has always treated her no less than a daughter, will she submit to Lakhan's madness?

Shivangi Joshi, who plays Poonam, says "I have donned the look of a bride previously in the show but the wedding never happened, but this time I have made up my mind and will see it through. As a character that I portray, there is a huge shift. From a shy young girl, who wouldn't even looking into the eyes while having a conversation, I will now be seen as an assertive girl who knows what she wants and what she needs to do. This whole sequence has been emotionally draining because as an actor, I have a tendency to live the life of my on-screen character. Quite honestly I felt like Juhi Chawla from the movie Darr"

Sarrtaj Gill, who plays Priyom, says "The audience can look forward to high voltage drama at the wedding. Finally Priyom realizes his love for Poonam but unfortunately fate has something else in store. We have been tirelessly shooting for this biggest turning point in the show and I hope that the audience appreciates it."

Vishal Singh, who plays Laakhan, says "Laakhan is now determined more than ever to get what he wants. This character is eccentric and it is difficult for people to relate with his behavior. Laakhan however is in love and according to him there is no good and bad in love. I am enjoying portraying the character with all its challenges."
