Karan Johar slams troll for mocking legalisation of same sex marriages in US
Karan Johar lashed out at a troll on Twitter who mocked the legalisation of same sex marriage in the US.
In a historic ruling, the US Supreme Court on Friday legalised same sex marriage, holding that gay people can get married in all 50 states of the country. In its 5-4 ruling, the apex court of the United States recognised that the Constitution guarantees marriage equality.
While social media erupted with millions celebrating the landmark judgement, a taunt was tweeted at director Karan Johar on Saturday.
#Rumors : @KaranJohar to get married soon in USA.
The order is seen as a big victory for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community, who have been fighting for their rights for decades.
Johar was quick to shut down the troll for making a mockery of the occasion.
Karan Johar retweeted Pratik Malhotra
