Why must a working woman always end up falling for her boss?

I'm seriously fed up of this trope of "middle-class working woman falling for her rich boss". It's seriously regressive, and gives out the message that no matter how independant a woman may get, her ultimate aim is to secure a husband for herself, even while at the workplace. Its extremely derogatory IMO.

This is Indian television so it is bound to happen and it will happen ...

My point is, why should a girl fall for only her Boss? Why couldn't Dhruv be somebody else other than her Boss? This seriously undermines a woman's independence at workplace.

This trend is a little regressive, yes. I'd have liked if Dhruv was a random guy who works along with Thapki in her workplace rather him being the channel head. But our Indian soaps are relied on trp aunties who maybe like to see a rich boss falling for his middle class girl intern. This is the fourth show I'm watching which has the same format.., But the trend is followed by a certain directors and PH, not everyone. Hope this trend changes soon.

Its a tradition of indian serials, u cn look at geet, ipkknd, kmh. N dilli wali thajur girls also showing the same..

Actually, its the show "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin" who sparked this trend, methinks. 😆
