Some people expected a jealous track after Kabir realising Ronnie's feelings. But there was no anger in Kabir. Some expected, he would give up Ananya for Ronnie. There are no scenes of sacrifice either.
When Kabir reached Ananya's house, he did not retrieve as soon as he saw Ananya in Ronnie's arms. He still proceeded. Her words of her hopes being lost were painful for him to hear. But then, he stopped. He realised, his presence would only increase her pain and he decided to leave her there. When he sat at home, he cherished all the lively moments he had with her. Where was Ronnie in all these? Nowhere.
Fact is, Kabir respects Ronnie as a colleague, encourages him being a senior. But when it comes to his relation with Ananya, Ronnie does not even exist for him. It does not matter to him, whether Ananya was holding Ronnie. He has seen that even before. He does not shake, does not even bother. All that bothers him is, he is unable to help Ananya.
That is the difference between Kabir and Ronnie. Ronnie goes to declare his love to Ananya, ends up asking her feeling towards Kabir. For Kabir, what he feels for Ananya matters. How Ananya feels for him matters. What she thinks about others, what some x, y, z feels for Ananya, he does not bother. Frankly he does not care, be it Malavika or Ronnie. They simply don't exist.
