Manik has stumbled. He has fallen. He has been angry, given up, cried, and laughed. Went on to be arrogant yet caring at the same time. He has seen it all but with HER. The only thing that has been constant in his life is Nandini. He gave her the kiss to ask for forgiveness. Every person plans for his girl's birthday as it's that day which marked her life. The day she came in this world for him. And Manik did feel bad about it. The innocent child that he is. He wanted to make it special, memorable and planned. But little does he release that Nandini Moorthy just wants Manik Malhotra in her life because that's how much she loves him.
Manik and Nandini...two souls...so apart from each other yet so connected. They want to live life together and they want to love but together. He wants her as much as she wants him. They desire each other. They yearn for it just to celebrate their conjunction.
A birthday is always special but a girls eighteenth with her boyfriend. Sigh...Longer Sigh
It wasn't anyone. It was Manik's Nandini and so it had to be special and what more good for a girl like her to see her boyfriend unite with her best buddy just exactly when the clock strikes twelve. For her this was the best gift because she loves him way too much. She knows he does not deserve this. He deserves their love, their attention, their care. Just the right amount of TLC. Her guy deserves to be loved and as Manik says the unique girlfriend that she is Nandini Moorthy decides to make her birthday special not for her but for him. For them.
She dressed for him in red.
RED. The color of love. The color of passion. The color of angst.
This was the same color that broke her heart of Valentines. The day of love. But they aren't the mainstream couple are they? He broke her heart because she broke his trust. And now all the red decorations just showed pure love. Nothing more. She lighted up things for him. The hearts, candles and those smileys. Sigh
She knows exactly what he wants and there he was just looking at her.
The red color, the dazzling and smiling Nandu, the content Manik, the relaxed environment, those twinkling stars, the serene view, the lovely shade, just added more to the beauty of the proposal because it was the normal couple Manik and Nandini. It just had to be perfect because they deserve it. They don't want it but because it's them it just had to be; to create their moment as it's them-the Humesha wala couple who have fireflies and stars wala love
She shared her father's telescope with the boy who nearly broke her father's pen. Nandini trusts Manik more not because he has earned it well but because they have gone through all of this. She broke his trust and now that he has given back to her rightfully she wants to show how much she trusts him. This trust, this togetherness. They have gone through all the stages hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder-cheek to cheek. And the constant thing that has made their life a bit stable now is the undoubted faith for each other. But it's just not faith its love. True love.
