Shlok entered the largest house in the island, the one where her family lives and where she conducts her business.

"Her room would be on the left corner." Ankush said as he pointed at the corrider.

"Who else live in here?" Shlok asked.

"Only Joshi family, meaning me, astha, aditi, avi and father."

"What about the other member?"

"They are given their own houses and others doesn't live in the island."

"You have more members?"

"We have many members, some live in this island and some live in the country."

"I thought? You mean the villagers who live here are members of the gang?"

"Yes. No one is permitted to live here unless he is a member or a prisoner."

Now he understood why the villagers never say anything about the illegal activities happening in the island because they themselves are part of the gang.

"I thought you were a small group."

"We started as a small group but over the years many people joined us."

"I'm amazed to see how Astha had changed, she was so sweet and innocent. I still can't believe she is the leader of a big group of criminals!" Shlok said amazingly.

"Circumstances can change the person." Ankush said quietly and defensively.

Shlok gave a small smile and spoke "Don't take it as an offense to her. She is still a little bit sweet and innocent but not the same as she used to be, I accept her in this way too. Don't ever think I would leave her because she had changed a lot. She may not be the girl who took my heart thirteen years ago but she can be the girl whom I can fall in love with now."

"It's great to know you never lose hope." Ankush remarked.

"I would never. I have to know this Astha if I want to be with her that's why I asked you to help me."

Ankush grinned and replied "You will always find me beside you, Shlok."

"That's what I expect from you, you are my best buddy ever."

"Same goes for you. But I didn't understand how does Aditi help you in this?"

"She does because she is the first mystery I have to solve."

"Meaning?" Ankush asked confusedly.

Shlok chuckled and said "Isn't it your habit to talk in riddles?" then he added as he patted his cheek "Keep thinking buddy!" then walked towards her room.

"Damn it!" Astha mumbled frustratingly.

"You aren't getting nice shots, lassie." Abhay commented as he removed his lock on her shoulder.

"I have so much in mind." She replied as she rotated her arm to remove the sprain.

"Why don't you give the lad a chance?"

"After knowing everything you are saying this."

"You have no fault in this."

"He also have no fault in this, why does he have to suffer?"

"He wouldn't suffer if you will be there for him."

"He would suffer if I'll be there with him, you guys are thinking the present but I'm thinking about the future." Astha said angrily.

"No one knows the future and you don't give me a crap that you're thinking about future, you are just scared that one day he might regret!" Abhay said in the same tone.

"Go to hell!" She said and walked away.

Abhay grinned as he watched her walk away, he said to himself "I guess I nailed it hard this time."

"What brought you here, Shlok?" Aditi asked with a smile.

"I..don't know how to start this, we don't even know each other personally but I have no choice except ask for help from you." He said hesitantly.

"Don't worry we would be friends soon and I would try my best to help you. Have a seat."

"I have some questions for you if you are comfortable answering it would be great help but if not I would understand." Shlok as he sat on the chair.

"I would try my best."

"Astha told me she saved your life that's how your father adopted her and Ankush."

"Yes but it wasn't just because she saved my life, it was her very nature that made my father adopt her."

"I wanna ask if you were you..were also a victim of..prostitution..just like Astha?" Shlok asked carefully.

Her smile faded instantly, she lowered her eyes as she replied "Yes."

"Can..you share how..you end up being..victim? If you don't want, I would truly understand."

She looked up and smiled faintly as she replied "I wouldn't have shared this experience to anyone but since it's gonna help Astha and since you are a very nice guy I would."

Shlok took a relief sigh and said "Thank you."

"Where should I start, I was sixteen when this happened.."

"Where are you taking me?" The sixteen year old Aditi asked sweetly.

"I have a special gift for you." A nineteen year old boy replied as he led the way.

"Really? What?" She asked excitedly.

"Have patience baby." He said.

It was her sixteenth birthday, her father Prabhakar Joshi arranged a grand party for her in the house, she invited all of her friends including her boyfriend, Shubham. She met him in school and instantly liked him, it had been a year since they started dating.

"Here we are." He said as he brought her to the garden, away from the people, hidden in the darkness.

"Why'd you brought me here?" Aditi asked confusedly.

"I wanted something from you." Shubham said with gleam in his eyes.

Aditi thought for a second then her eyes widen as she realized what he wants, there is only one thing man want when he corner a girl in lonely and dark place.

"you don't mean that?" she asked with a gasp.

"If you're thinking what i'm thinking then I mean that." He said as he rubbed his finger on her soft lips.

"But I'm young for that stuff!'' she said in a shriek.

"Oh come on, you're sixteen now, mature enough to have intimate relationship with me. And we've been together for a year now, let's bring this relationship to next level."

"You don't understand, Shubham. We're not married and I may get pregn---"

"You won't. I have precautions." He replied as he took out a packet from his pocket.

"You really came prepared for this."

He chuckled and replied "I don't want a baby either."

She didn't know why but she felt bad on his comment.

"But still we can't do it not before marriage." She said and tried to walk away but he held her hand.

"What is the problem? It's just sex." He said irritatingly.

Aditi gave him an angry look and spoke angrily "For you it might be just sex but for me it is more than sex."

"Oh really? Now you're being traditional! Where was this when you were flirting with me? Where does your modesty go when you wear short clothes? Girls like you first wear short clothes and when we say something you get angry!"

"I don't wear these dresses for the perverts like you who look at me, I wear them because I am comfortable wearing these!" She spatted as she removed his hold on her wrist then added "I just can't believe you have such low thinking."

Shubham pulled her closer from her shoulders, gripped them harder as he looked deep into her eyes with his raged ones.

"Now that you saw how low my thinking is, let me show how low I could get." He said menacingly.

A sudden chill ran through her spine, she know what could happen if she stayed there any longer.

"You have no idea what can happen if you misbehave with me. I am warning you Shubham my father will leave no stone unturned if something happen to me." She said calmly yet daringly.

He gave her a long look before he released his grip on her shoulders, she ran as fast as she could.

"I thought that was the end of it. I thought he understood the consequences. But I was wrong, he did the thing I never thought he would ever do.."

"I am sorry baby. I know I hurted you and I am very guilty for treating you like that. I was just too angry to accept the fact that you don't trust me---"

"It's not about trusting Shubham. I do trust you but I am not ready for this thing. I maybe openminded or I may wear short clothes or I may flirt but that doesn't mean I would be accesible or I would give up my virginity so easily. I am conservative even if I'm open for some things."

"I know I should've understood you but since I didn't I made a mistake you can punish me for that."

"I don't know what to say about that. Ever since that day, I feel I don't know you."

Shubham clenched his fist to control his anger, she is insulting him again but no worries, very soon he will show her her real place, he just have to tolerate her for the time being.

"No baby, I am still the same, I love you. I accept my mistake and will accept the punishment." He said as he cupped her face.

She let a sigh and replied "Just give me more time to think."

"You can have all the time in world."

"I thought about it, I guess you need a chance but it would your last chance." Aditi said with a smile.

Shubham smiled brightly and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you baby. I thought I would never see you again. I love you."

Aditi hugged him back and rested her head on his chest then replied "I love you too."

"They are my friends." Shubham said as he walked the paved surface on the grass.

"It doesn't look like they are partying, the house looks so..silent." Aditi commented.

"It hasn't begun we are just early."

A weird feeling cropped up in her as she looked at the house although it was a beautiful house not very big nor small, painted in pure white, a wide porch embellished with greenery. She shrugged off the feeling and followed Shubham, suddenly she stopped in her tracks.

"Wait, I will just call papa that I am with you and I'll be late, he would get worry. No one knows I am with you."

"Baby, you can call him later. Let's just get inside first."

"No, it--"

"Let's go." He said as he dragged her.

"Ok fine. I'm walking." She said with a grin.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Aditi shouted angrily as tears spilled from her eyes.

"Meaning? That's what you get for insulting me that day. If you had just agreed to me this wouldn't have happened. Now not only me who will touch you, all those pervert man like me will touch you, will use your body!"

She let out a raging shrill as she attacked him with her bare hands, thristing for his blood, completely forgetting her situation. He got hold of her wrists and pulled her closer to his face.

"You were very proud of your money, right? You threatened me that day that if something happen to you, your father will leave no stone unturned, let me see what your father can do now. But oh! I forgot you told no one about you coming with me, no will get suspicious of me, no one will know where you have gone and why you have gone, no one will know anything. Enjoy your stay, wh**e." He said then pushed her away harshly.

She fell hard on the marble floor, she heard him say the words she never thought she would ever hear "She's yours now, Sushant. I don't feel like touching her anymore but I would enjoy others touching her."

"Thank you for a new feast for me. I will send your money." Sushant said with a smirk as he look at her luscious body.

"Good bye, Baby!" Shubham said sarcastically and turned to leave.

"NO! Please don't leave me!" She shouted as she shot on her feet.

"I'm sorry, Shubham! I won't tell anyone about this!" She said desperately.

"Sushant didn't I say she's yours?" He asked and walked ahead.

Sushant chuckled and held her elbow tightly and said "Let's go, sweetbabe. You'll enjoy this." then dragged her all the way to the basement of the house.

"No! Leave me! Don't! I beg of you! Please! I don't want it!" She screamed again and again.

Shlok wrapped his arm around her shoulder, giving her his shoulder to lean on. He felt like beating the hell out of this guy for breaking the heart of this woman who loved him wholeheartedly.

"It was horrible, Shlok." She spoke softly, tears coming out of her eyes.

"I hope he got his punishment."

"He did. Father made sure he repents for what he did to me."

"I'm sorry, Aditi. You wouldn't have gone through this again if I hadn't asked you." Shlok said as he rubbed her arm, trying to comfort her, soothe her pain.

She looked up and rubbed her tears, with a smile she replied "It is my choice. I would do anything for Astha and I know you are doing this for her."

Shlok gave a faint smile and said "I'm really glad that she have people like you in her life. Knowing what she may have went through breaks my heart, Aditi. I want to give her comfort, I want to take away all the pain in her life but there is a wall between us and that wall is my father, I don't know how to break that wall without having clue of the truth. It is important for me to know the truth so I could break the wall, so I could relate to her, I could help her and know her completely."

"I'm sure one day that wall will break."

"I hope that time come sooner."

"It will. I hope you accept her and be together."

"Let's hope. And I wish you get the right person who loves you dearly."

Aditi grinned and replied "I already have that person."

"Really? Who?"

"Abhay."

"That hotheaded guy!"

"Come on, he's the sweetest person alive."

Shlok whistled and spoke with a teasing grin "love is really blind."

"Shlok!" Aditi scolded as she hit his shoulder while he burst into laughter.

At that precise moment the door of the room opened and Astha entered with a frown.

"Hey, you're very early today?" Aditi asked.

Astha was still looking at Shlok, confused by his presence in the room.

"Nothing, you haven't begun the training, why?"

"I was coming---"

"I should be leaving Aditi. Thank you very much for cooperating with me. Please keep our conversation between us---"

"What conversation?" Astha asked.

Shlok looked at Aditi and said again "Between us."

Aditi smiled and made a gesture of zipping her mouth which fumed Astha even more, now she will never be able to learn anything.

"And can you teach me horse riding?"

"Me? I---"

"No, she can't." Astha said.

"Why?"

"Because she have lot other things to do than teaching you horse riding."

"Then who can, you?"

"Yes, I can!" She blurted but then instantly added "No! I---"

Shlok shruggged his shoulder and replied ok then went out of the room hurriedly.

Astha looked back at Aditi who had a teasing grin on her face.

"Stop giving me that look." Astha said angrily.

"You look cute in jealousy."

"I wasn't jealous!"

"Yes, you weren't." She replied and went back to do what she was doing.

"I really wasn't!"

"That's what I said!"

"Ah! Whatever!" Astha said frustratingly.

"What brought you here? Jealousy?" Aditi asked.

"I'm gonna kill you!"

"Ok! Sorry sorry!"

"I bet you have everything ready."

"Everything is ready, we'll be leaving exactly after evening."

"Be sure everything must happen on exact time planned."

"Uff, Astha. Stop fretting! That bas***d won't get a clue why we are in his house."

"I won't stop until it is over."

"Father has everything under control, you know how Father is right?"

"You're right. I'm dying to see that bas***d's face when we'll meet face to face." Astha said with a smirk.

"Come in." Astha said after she heard a knock on the door.

"Do you welcome anyone while dressed like that or for special person like me?" Shlok asked with a grin.

Astha turned around as soon as she heard his voice, she just came out of her evening shower with mere towel wrapped around her body. Normally, any woman would feel embarrased for being half naked in front of another man but with years of getting no clothes punishment and different types of men ogling at her, she no longer feel ashamed, it doesn't even matter to her anymore.

"Depends on the expected company." She replied as she resumed fussing over the cabinet, looking for clothes.

"And you were expecting?" Shlok asked while scanning her room. It was a normal kid's room, with posters of cartoon characters, action heroes and toys. There was a large picture at the center of the room of Astha and her arms wrapped around the neck of perhaps six years old Avi, both sporting a jubilant smile. There were few other family pictures and others his solo pictures.

"Arjun."

His attention instantly went back to her, with a frown he asked "Why would that lover boy come to you?"

Astha raised her brow and asked "Why should I tell you?"

Shlok let out a sigh and brushed his thumb on the tip of his nose then looked up at her with a slow smile.

"I guess you keep on forgetting things, love."

That love word was a clear indication that he will still pursue her, that what happened last night doesn't matter to him. She was both angry and at the same time happy for his decision, she can't express her joy, only her anger can stop him from making the mistake.

"You don't give up, do you?"

"You know me, you know how stubborn I am and you can never win from me." Shlok said as he took steps toward her.

"This time you have to give up and lose."

"We'll see about that."

"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked now frustratingly.

"I just came here to ask when we'll start our lessons?"

"I changed my mind. Veer will teach you."

"Why did you change your mind?"

"Because I have so many things to do."

"Coward." Shlok said.

She gasped at his remark and neared the distance between them, she looked up at him and spoke angrily while poking her finger on his chest.

"Mr. Shlok Agnihotri, you are forgetting that you are a mere prisoner in here, don't dare take advantage of the freedom you got."

Shlok raised his brow and replied "I am not forgetting anything. I was just telling the truth you are coward to be with me, you can't control yourself that's why you backed out now, am I right?"

"Absolutely wrong! I will show you that I am neither coward nor I am afraid to be with you."

"So when are we beginning?" Shlok asked with a cheeky grin.

"Tomorrow! Sharp at 5 a.m.!"

"Will meet you there." He said and turned to leave but then stopped and looked at her from head to toe.

"You better get dressed before that lover boy comes. I don't want him ogling at you."

"It won't matter to him if I'm naked or half naked because he had seen me stark naked as many times as I could remember." She said brazenly.

He went still, again shocked by her new revelation, is it her habit to suddenly drop the bomb when he is in very good mood. Now how is that possible? Arjun met her when she was in that place? It had to be like that or why would she say something like that?. Thanks to her, he got another lead to this mystery; next person to interview is that lover boy, I wonder if he'll answer any questions!

"Listen carefully my dear love, you may control your jealousy just like you did this morning but this man of yours can't." He said with a grin and turned to leave.

"I wasn't jealous!" She shouted.

"I'll pretend to never hear that!" Shlok shouted too without looking back and getting out of the room.

"Damn you, Shlok!" She screamed, his hearty laughter added more fuel to her building anger.
