Actress Anushka Sharma said that the nation should be proud of the worldwide success of PK as people from different countries have appreciated it.

Team PK hosted a success party in Mumbai on June 10, after the film crossed Rs 100-crore mark in two weeks in China. It was attended by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir Khan and Anushka along with megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh among others.

Anushka seemed happy, and said, "It (PK) was a unique idea, unique concept - these are the key things that can make a movie work. I think PK has proven that."

The film has done exceptionally well in China where it has grossed over Rs 100 crore. "People who speak different languages, they are watching the movie from our language. So, I think all of us should be proud as nation and as cinema lovers," added the actress, whose film Dil Dhadakne Do released on June 5.

I feel people should trust hirani and let him do his job. We don't know how he is gonna direct this and what kind of screenplay they're gonna rite. Don't dismiss it before hand just because he is not your fav star or you don't care about him.

I do like Sunjay Dutt actually and loved the Munna Bhai movies, and when younger even his 90s films. But his life is basically that of a star's kid who got involved in drugs, 3 marriages and numerous affairs, troubles with law due to his connections with the underworld, and unfortunately lost two important women in his life to cancer. I'm not denying that he's been through a lot. But it almost seems cliche and too over dramatic for a movie. And if this is done with Sunjay's support it runs the risk of victimizing him too much and glossing over his bad behavior.

IAmLuvBolly: U remember nayakan and dayavan? If those movies can be made and appreciated then why not this one? I've more trust in raju than the ones who made nayakan. Nayakan was a good movie, wasn't it? So why not sanju's biopic? And its on sanju's life so why shouldn't sanju be involved in it? U can't just make a biography without their permission, can you? They did the same thing with milka sing and mary kom, seek their permission and showed them the script.

I'm sure sanju would give more leeway than those people. He is quite honest in his interviews and talks about his drug phase and court cases.

They might even show him in bad light, who knows or they might just leave it to the viewers, whether u wanna sympathize with him or not, would be up to you.

Or they might show that making those decisions were just bad and it leads to a bad life, like a lesson.

It can go many ways. The guy has made 4 super movies and all of you doubt him because he is making sanju's biopic.

oh no, he is gonna glorify him. I don't want that, so it should be a flop and it'll be a bad movie, why doesn't he just make movies with aamir for the rest of his life you know 😆

why on sanju, he is 55yrs old, he doesn't look good either, we only care about the khans or the hot guys you know, screw him, I wasn't even born when he debuted, etc, etc

so yeah, those people can just or have to you know, just deal with it 😉

You do have a fair point in that we should give Hirani a chance. He hasn't disappointed yet.

Actually as someone who also loves Hirani I don't want the movie to flop. All my critiques were more of concern that this might be his flop and definitely not my wish.

As an Aamir fan, yea I would be happy if all his movies are with Hirani and vice a versa 😊 But Aamir rarely repeats directors or costars. So the fact that he's already worked twice with Hirani is amazing to me. Still, I would love for them to keep working together.

It won't be a flop. The hype would be enough to ensure that it becomes a hit and raju's movies are always on budget. So the budget can be anything from 50-75cr, that would be about it.

raju and aamir can make movies if its really good so yeah I don't mind that either, as long raju makes munna bhai in between or makes a two hero project with sanju + aamir, PK didn't really do justice to them.
