Anjali : The Dark Angel?

Just imagine.....

You grow up looking upto an elder sister...an elder sister who according to you is a vision of perfection. Beautiful, brilliant, popular, happening , always in the limelight- she is a winner who believes that she is born to rule. She is somebody you want to emulate and she is somebody whom you have grown to love more than your life. You lie for her, you can't tolerate even a single line of pain or sadness on her face and you can't bear to be away from her... no matter what she does, she is your dear elder sister whom you love selflessly...but in some corner of your heart, you hope that someday she'll love you back the way you want her to... someday , she'll be the mother and the protector that you have always sought in her....

That's Riddhima's story which centers around Anjali - her elder sister who is nothing short of a paradox for her...

Riddhima knows that she can never fathom or really sort out her sister. She only knows how to love and worship her sister. She knows that she is only secondary in Anjali's life but that doesn't matter - being loved back is not important for Riddzie. Anjali is a paradoxical sister.... if one moment she gets worried about her baby sister getting lost in the woods, the very next moment she degrades Riddhima... if in one second, she tells her sister in a motherly tone that they'll go home together so that she doesn't get lost again, the next second she blasts that same sister because she has lost to her....

It's not that Riddhima is not important for Anjali. She is but definitely not more than herself. Anjali's feelings for her "loved ones " are suppressed and suffocated by her own selfish powerful self. Anjali is a civilized control freak and her life is ruled by her head with little space for the meek voice of her heart.

Anjali is truly a dark angel - pushing towards darkness and receding away from her angelhood.

Riddhima loves Anjali more than her life and she might even get ready to sacrifice Armaan for her happiness but it's an impossible possibility that Anjali will learn to love Riddhima the way that baby sis wants.

That would be a dream come true for sure. But you know what? It's more about Anjali's inability to love selflessy and show affection rather than about getting along. Riddzie lets Angie have her way because she loves her.
