Love is in de air -
"Taanu" my mother called from downstairs. I ignored her and hummed along to the music I was listening to.
"Taani!" I heard once again, but I could tell she was getting quite angry and so I decided to answer,
"What, Mom?! I'm busy!" That was sort of a lie. I had nothing to do, and I mean nothing. But I was listening to music so I guess that counts as something. I pushed myself off of my bed and turned off my music before trotting downstairs.
"We're having a few guests over in about two hours. Please go clean yourself up." Mom explained. I groaned but obeyed. I returned upstairs and placed my headphones on my bed.
I walked into the bathroom and stripped as I turned on the water and changed it to warm. I stepped inside the shower and yelped as the liquid burned my skin. I quickly changed the temperature to a bit less hot and then started washing, shampooing and all that jazz.
I turned the water off and stepped out of the shower and saw that everything with glass was foggy. Was I really in there that long? I shrugged and wrapped a towel around my body. I opened the bathroom door and stepped out of the bathroom and walked into my bedroom and picked out adecent outfit.Something that I liked yet my mother would approve of for this event'.
I slipped the outfit on placed a towel around my shoulders to not wet my outfit. I plugged in my blow drier along with my curling iron and quickly blow dried my hair before curling my hair.
Taani !" I heard my Mom call, yet again. I sighed and walked into my bedroom to see her standing at the doorway with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face.
"You better clean up your bedroom, I can hardly see the floor!" she ordered, her hands flying everywhere in frustration. I groaned and gave her an are-you-serious' look.
"Yes, Taanu, get to it." She said, as if reading my expression.
Well, she is my mom and I guess she knows allot about me, since you know, I came out of her vagina and all.
I groaned and threw all of the clothes scattered on the ground in a laundry basket that my mom had brought up. I made my bed and turned on my music to make this more interesting.
I danced around crazily as I tided up my bedroom.
"Come downstairs, they'll be here soon." I heard Mom say from behind me.
Oh joy, I can't wait to meet them!
I honestly don't even know who's coming over. I don't know their names, or how many people are coming.
I walked down the stairs rather slowly. I wasn't very social and I sucked at making conversation. All I do is basically listen to the boring conversation my parents have with random people I don't even know.
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a muffin. I took the top off and placed it in a bowl and started eating the bottom of the muffin first. Once I was done eating the bottom part, I ate the top of the muffin, the best part.
I placed the bowl into the dishwasher and heard the famous sound of the doorbell.
"Oh, Taanu I forgot to mention, a boy around your age is coming over as well."
I groaned. I hope my Mom wasn't trying to set me up because I really wasn't looking for a relationship.
Mom walked over to the entranced and pulled the door open, revealing two adults and a figure behind them that I couldn't quite see. I stepped out of the kitchen to catch a better view of them. The man was around forty and had black hair with glasses. He was wearing jeans along with a red cardigan and a white tie. The woman was wearing some tights with a skirt and had long blonde hair and was no older than thirty-five.
They gave me a smile and sent one to my mom as well. "Ranvijya, Avantika , it's nice to see you!" Mom chirped as she stepped aside to give the some room to enter. Ranvijya and Avanitka came inside and the boy behind them came inside too. They all shrugged off their shoes and trotted into the living room.
"Reyanah, it's nice to see you too." my mom added.
The boy who I assumed was Reyansh smiled at her. And let me tell you, his smile was gorgeous. He had light brown - hair and was wearing a jumper with the writing swag' in white, bold letters.
"Where's Taani?" I heard a more feminine voice ask as I stepped back into the kitchen.
I grabbed my laptop from the table and logged onto Tumblr. I honestly had no intentions on meeting those people even though they did seem nice. I reblogged a few pictures but I was soon interrupted by my mother walking in.
"Taanu, come and meet the Singhaina's family." she said, pointing to the living room. "
I'm on Tumblr, please, a few more minutes and I'll come." I replied.
Lie.I was obviously going to stay on Tumblr for a few more hours until it came to the point where my Mom would literally have to drag me into the room.
I laughed at a gif of Logan Lerman and quickly reblogged it. My Mom sighed and walked out of the room and I could hear her explain to the Singhaina family why I wasn't joining them.
About an hour later, someone walked into the kitchen but I didn't bother looking up.
"One Direction, seriously?" I heard a chuckle come from behind me. I looked back and saw Reyansh standing there, an amused look on his face.
"Yes, now if you're going to judge me, GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN!" I yelled. I've always wanted to say that aloud and it actually was pretty fun to say.
"I'm good." he smirked. I shrugged and went back to Tumblr.
"I'm Taani, you are?" I asked, trying to make conversation as he grabbed a cup.
"Well Taani, most people call me Reyansh, my frends call me Rey but you can call me tonight." he replied.
I laughed for quite a while but soon recomposed myself.
"Damn, nice pickup line. Too bad I've seen it all over the internet."
"You just had to ruin it?" he asked, annoyance written all over his face.
I shrugged, "Pretty much."
He poured some water into his glass and started drinking. I opened up facebook and I smiled as I saw that my best friend was online.
"Heyyy, what's up?" she asked.
"Talking to some guy, you?"
"Ooo, is he hot?"
I chuckled before replying, "You could say so."
"Oh, so you think I'm hot?" Reyansh said beside me as he threw his hands everywhere. "Holler!"

It's been about a month since I've met Reyanah oops Rey and we were now best friends. We did everything together, and I mean everything.
I walked over to Rey's house and knocked slightly on the door as I shoved my hands into my denim shorts pockets. I was also wearing an oversized sweater with the writing swerve' in white as the sweater was navy blue.
The door opened and there stood Mrs. avantika , a kind smile on her face.
"Hey, Taani, Rey's down at the skate park."
"Oh, alright, thanks Aunty." I said waving slightly. She waved back and closed the door. I grabbed one of Rey's skateboards which was lying next to the front door. I debated if I should go to the skate park considering I can't skateboard.
I shrugged and walked over to the skate park, clutching the red skateboard in my hand. I knew that the skate park was nearby since I went there occasionally to watch Rey do his tricks.
Minutes later I got there and saw Rey skateboarding down the railing.
"Rey!" I called, making him lose his balance and fall.
"Shit." I mumbled, running over to him. His body laid there lifelessly and I started to panic.
What if I killed him? What if he's badly injured? What if, what if, what if!
"Rey!" I whisper shouted, warm tears falling down my cheeks.
"Rey, get up!" I said, tugging on his hand.
"AHHH!" he screamed, jumping up.
I screamed, "OH MY GOD!" Clutching my sides, I almost dropped the skateboard.
"Don't f**king scare me like that!" I yelled, looking up to see a scratch on his face.
"Awe, you were crying!" he beamed.
"Duh, I thought I killed you!" I said, embracing him in a hug.
"I'mf fine." he chuckled, squeezing my body.
"I see you stole my board." he commented as we both let go of each other.
"I was wondering if you could teach me." I grinned.
"Of course." he smiled.
"First, get on the board." I did as told as I placed the board down.
"Move more like this," he said, moving my body slightly.
Shivers ran down my spine as he got onto the board as well.
"All you have to do is move your foot like this," he explained, showing me the movement.
I did the same thing as he did and he got off the board.
"Great, we're going to go around the block. Want me to take lead?" he asked. I nodded and hopped off the board, hoping we would share the same board. Okay, maybe I had a little crush on Rey but I mean, he's perfect, how can you not love him?
He got on my board and motioned for me to get on. I obeyed and wrapped my arms around his waist. He held onto one of my hands and interlocked his fingers with mine, making my face turn pink.
"Ready?" he murmured.
I nodded against his back and we were off. He picked up the pace and I clutched his waist harder.
"Don't let go of me." I muttered against his back.
"I would never let you go, Taani." he replied. Those words made a bunch of butterflies erupt in my stomach and my face turn the color of a tomato.
Soon enough we were done skateboarding arrived at his house.
"I forgot your board at the skate park." I said feeling guilty.
"Meh, I'll get it later." I nodded and we both laid down on the grass and stared up at the sky.
"Taani?" I heard Rey murmur.
"Hm?" I replied.
"Do you ever wonder if your crush likes you back?"
I nodded, "All the time."
"Who's your crush?" Rey asked, curiosity obvious in his tone.
"I can't tell you." I murmured. "Why not? I'm your best friend."
Oh, how I wish we were more than friends.
I shrugged and Rey turned onto his side and propped himself up onto his elbow and I did the same. He stared into my eyes and I stared back into his beautiful grey ones. "You're beautiful." Rey mumbled, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear. I looked down with a smile plastered on my face.
Rey placed his finger under my chin and lifted my head up, making me look at him.
"Don't hide your beauty from me."
I blushed even more and he smiled. That's when I saw his face getting closer to mine.
Was I about to kiss my best friend?
Soon enough I felt Rey's soft lips on mine and I had no problem kissing back.
I'm his crush...
I smiled into the kiss and we both pulled back and whispered, "I love you" at the same time.
