Hi
I m a huge Amit fan, became his fan after In dino.I was wondering would it have been better for Amit if he had been in saregamapa,I truely believe that he would have won there also ,then he would have been able to go to play back singing directly. I believe that Amit is here to stay & InshAllah he has the potential to become a legend,I heard (not sure) Sony has the contract that for 5 years ii can't sing for anyone else,so Amit can bring out albums but has to wait for playback (I m assuming he will win ii InshAllah) .

Is this good for him or would it have been even better to go to playback directly??
I want to listen to his voice over & over again & see him reach the top.

I mean no offense, because I do really like Amit, but he wouldn't last all that long in SRGMP. That show is meant for super talented trained singers. Amit is good, but he doesn't have the versatility to survive on a show like that. Maybe once he starts training he will, but at the moment, I think Indian Idol was a better choice for him...

I m sorry I can't agree with u,Amit has proven that he is versatile, yes the SRGMP singers are good but they are all not versatile,if u had seen this weeks ep then one of their best singers Raja sang pretty ordinarily & the judges there mentioned that whoever is moving away from their forte is not doing good & thus to stay close to their own style.

I personally think Raja is really over rated. He's good, but he's not the best. Amanat, Poonam, Sumedha and Mussarat have all proven to be very versatile, and they're all a lot better than Amit.

The only person on SRGMP who "yells" was Mauli, and she's gone now anyway. Ask anyone who knows anything about music, and they'll tell you that most people on SRGMP could crush ANYONE on II3.

Amit is the right choice for II. I have not heard him sing any classical based song so far. He rocks on soft numbers as well as regular, nice filmy songs. I think he will be a great II.

Also, this years SRGMP winners are perhaps getting a good deal but is it true about the singers from last year? I honestly dont know. I have not heard any great hit song coming from Vineet or Himani or Nihira yet.

What makes Amit stand apart from the rest is his voice- he has a deep manly voice. None of the contestants in Saregama or SVOI have his kind of voice. I cannot predict Amit's fate in Saregama but I know he is quicklearner and hardworker. I think he could have done well in Saregama. I personally think Emon would have done much better if he were mentored by VS or Ismail Darbar since he already has a year of training and is a quick learner.

And about Raja, I think he has a very heavenly voice and I heard he has already been signed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy who are the best music directors currently. So I think that itself says enough.

Really? Debo was super talented and trained?
