After Rejecting BB; Kangana Rejected Sultan Again; Sallu starts Shooti

Mumbai: On priority, Salman Khan has resumed the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' in Karjat. This has been slated for this year's big Diwali release starring Sonam Kapoor opposite Salman Khan for the first time. Meanwhile, a lot has been speculated about the shooting of Yash Raj Films' Sultan' starring Salman Khan. Director Ali Abbas Zafar is working on the pre-production of the film. Ali has earlier directed Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' and Gunday' for the same studio.

Ali has also been an assistant director to Kabir Khan and was also part of the first schedule of Ek Tha Tiger'. DC has learnt that Salman Khan has allotted dates to shoot for Sultan in the month of November. The first schedule will take off in Delhi.

However there is a lot of mystery around the leading lady of the film. Earlier there were reports that Deepika is paired with Salman. But recently, it was rumoured that Kangana has been offered the role. Kangana admitted that she was offered the role but her dates were clashing with Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon'. It will be interesting to see who eventually is finalized as the leading lady.

Salman Khan will play a wrestler in the film and will undergo vigorous training to get into the character. Promotions of Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' will keep Salman occupied for the next few months after which all his time is allotted to Sultan.

This will be Salman's second film with Yash Raj Film

Kangana Ranaut is a superstar in her own right and very assertive in her professional choices. First she turned down Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan for lack of a meaty role. Now, she's refused YRF's 'Sultan' with the superstar for a different reason.

Yes, Kangana Ranaut has turned down the plum offer to pair up with Salman Khan in 'Sultan'. Unlike 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', Kangana's role in 'Sultan' was a meaty one. She was approached to play a female wrestler. Salman himself plays a wrestler in the flick.

But sorry, Kangana is not interested. Reason? She can't turn down the Vishal Bhardwaj film Rangoon' just for a chance to work with Salman.

"Yes, Sultan's dates are clashing with Rangoon and I am already committed to Rangoon," Kangana is quoted to have said.

Kangana Ranut is presently on top of her game having won the National Award for Queen' and having spearheaded the latest blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu Returns' which has minted more than 100 crore. She's at a juncture in her career where she can dictate terms.
