Why FILMS Released this year are just Area Wise HIT?

Some of the hits this year:

1. Badlapur - Majority from plexes (budget was low)

2. DLKH - Typical Plex hit - 80% revenue

3. Piku - 2 Premium plex chain giving more than 60% revenue

4. TWMR - Only BlockBuster of this year so far but just from NORTH Region 80-90% contribution. Mumbai/Gujarat/South side Dull.

There is not even a single film which opened BUMPER & Was Smash Hit All Over India. Not even 1 film which can be said it is Super Duper Hit All Over from Multiplexes to Single Screens.

Why it is like that?

Its not just this year...majority of the successful films in the last 5-6 years worked in certain areas or certain sections of the audiences only. The population of India is really huge and diverse. So its not possible that everyone will like the same thing.

Nup, it isn't the thing for Khan films. Also, in 90's we were having just Single Screens, phir kaise chalti thi films? population se kuch nahi ho sakta.

North East is that region, even Big B would have hard to find success back then. Ek All INDIA ka approach hota hai, which is missing today, even match what khan films do.

Only hyped masala films can collect all over india coz they are not universally appreciated but due to the stars involved and huge fake promotions... Its very sad that sometimes good films may suffer due to low star cast and low promotions...

These movies have been made for a select audience on limited budgets. They wont appeal to everyone hence the reason why they are not earning from certain regions.

Its the same anywhere in the world. Furious did bumper business everywhere but Mad Max didn't despite being 1000x better than F7.

Yeh Logic fly out of window when u have same TICKET PRICE, so don't say it is for those & it does that much only... FILMS are made for Universal Audience to score all over, not just that only 10 should like it, rest don't like it its ok. It's just excuse for less perofrmance.
