years ago,a disaster film was made.it was fictional of course and the name was the burning train.it was a multistarrer with Dharmendra,Hema,vinod Khanna,Parveen babi,danny.it flopped very badly.

Disaster films do not work in Bollywood.

Kaala Patthar, The Burning train, some film on Mumbai floods starring Emraan Hashmi etc, nothing worked.

I think people find this stuff depressing and also find details of dealing with crisis complicated.

These films are not worth the time, effort and expenditure on them.

The. Hero chases girl, family opposes, villain enters, dhishum dhishum, villain gone all happy movies came and things kinda stuck with the BE girl meets but theme...

You mean utterly mediocre disaster films don't work in India?? Well that is the case with any genre.
