Pyar KaDard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara is the story of Aditya and Pankhuri, two people with a different outlook towards life and relationships in particular.

The show started with Pankhuri who is from Kullu who believes in joint families and expects a loving relationship from her life, and on the other hand Aditya has seen his parents separated from childhood and has lost faith in relationships.

But when Pankhuri enters his life she gradually brings a change by becoming his friend at first and makes him a happier man and reunites his family.

The beautiful story of these 2 soul mates. Pankhuri is loved by all in her house. Aditya has also got love from all but in all while he did not saw his parents under one roof. Purushottam Diwan, Nanu of Adi, wanted him to marry Pankhuri because he believed that only she can unite his family.

Pankhuri got successful in uniting Nanu's family.

We welcome one and all to celebrate the very 3rd year Grand Completion Anniversary of Very Popular show of Star Plus naming Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha-Meetha Pyaara Pyaara .

Today i.e 18th of june marks the completion of golden 3rd year for our show , it started on 18th June 2012. Even though its off air now, but we still cherish the show in our hearts everyday!😃

This show started with the concept of how two strangers become close besides their opposite point of views , habits , life styles , life and way to tackle with surroundings and gradually it became popular on TRP Charts with consecutive TRPs of above average 4.2 as it comes into Top 5 show now and with every passing week it is giving cherishing ratings with its best screenplay , story and entertainment factor which makes it unpredictable in portrayal.

The main leads of show also got awarded in Indian Telly Awards for Best Debutants of year 2012 and are also very popular on Twitter for their friendship and fun onscreen and offscreen!

The Pain Of Love

There was once a boy who was born

To parents who were apart torn

They quarreled, argued all day long

But they loved him much inspite of all.

His whole childhood he watched them fight

From morning to evening, day and night

Their quarrels increased day by day

But the reason for this? He could not say.

Then one evening came a disaster

Their quarrel that day was more than ever

With a terrified heart, he heard his mother say

"Adi will live with me, with me he will stay!"

Fierce looked his mother, who snatched his hand

And took him away, before his dad could react

But a little child's cries and pleas, did they ever hear?

Did they ever ask him-this pain of separation, could he bear?

Twenty years since, as we peep into a mansion

We search for a little boy, but can't find one

Instead we see a handsome man in his youth

Indifferent was his look, carefree was he

Real friends he could not trust, so he made friends reel

Because things like trust to him never existed

"I will never be in a relationship" Adi had decided.

But fate laughed at him and said, "Are you sure?"

We have something else for you in store!

So to get your share of love, rush to Kullu!"

Our eyes wander off to Kullu, there we're surprised to see

A girl clad in yellow, dancing and running merrily!

Joy was in her heart, peaceful and happy her mind

We have never seen, a beauty of her kind!

A marriage proposal brought these two polar opposites together

Two people more different, there had been never

Adi was from a family-rich, but divided and scattered

Pankhuri wasn't rich, but her family was united.

Friends they soon became, very close and innate

Pankhuri was surprised to see in his family, so much jealousy and hate.

Adi's Nanu wanted her to unite his broken family

The old man's only dream was to see them living happily.

This girl, Nanu knew, was the only person in the world

Who could unite his family, and shower Adi with love

Because Pankhuri knew, the importance of relationships

And the need for a life partner to face life's hardships.

The path wasn't easy, evils came their way

Adi and Pankhuri separated..and we had nothing to say.

But they were meant to be together, so had fate decided

So against everyone's wish, Adi and Pankhuri married.

Pankhuri was wise enough to realize that she loved him

But she was sad to see that she was still a friend to him

An accident occurred, which could cost Pankhuri her life

Adi prayed for her safety, Adi prayed for his wife.

The fear of separation, when once again roused in his heart

He realized he loved Pankhuri, and her place in his heart.

His immense love for her, brought her back back to life

Adi and Pankhuri were now, perfect husband and wife.

Two lovers, now united, formed a bond such

That no evil could separate them, tried however they much.

Pankhuri helped Adi bring his parents together

And removed the misunderstandings between them forever.

A lot they had to go through, tears they had to shed

But finally Adi and Pankhuri made Diwan family united.

Pankhuri taught them to live together, happiness came their way

Seeing his only wish fulfilled, Nanu peacefully passed away.

Adi was surprised to see that a girl could be so selfless

That she hid her own tears, to bring smiles on their faces

"She has done so much for me", he thought "And what have I given her?

Nothing except utmost grief, pain, suffering and tears.

"Now is my turn to give her happiness" he did he almost think,

When all his happiness collapsed, and darkness came in a wink.

The thought of what happened shudders us, to a couple it should happen never

A landslide had snatched away Pankhuri from Adi forever.

Adi became a wanderer, two years he searched for her

He was mad, frantic, obsessed, but he had hope of finding her.

Pankhuri was the soul of Diwan Mansion, without her it was once again

An enormous structure, where there was only hatred, suffering and pain.

But now there came a ray of hope, into Adi's life

He found a girl Ayesha, who looked exactly like his wife.

Delighted he was to get back his Pankhuri

But the girl strangely treated him with scorn and fury.

Adi's nature was so sweet, and his love for Pankhuri extreme

That Ayesha soon transformed, and fell in love with him

But the bitter truth that she wasn't his love, she hid from him sincerely

Because she could not bear to be separated from the one she loved so dearly.

The bitter truth Adi soon found out, and he was heartbroken

Ayesha he married, in a turn of events, to save her reputation.

But the love that her heart craved for, Adi could not give her

The pain of love she suffered, she shed many a tear.

Then a miracle happened, a news came by

That Pankhuri wasn't dead, she was alive!

Adi's pure love once again, pulled her back from dead

Two lovers united, who had so long been separated.

The angel, Pankhuri was back, the family was overjoyed

But amidst this, Ayesha was forgotten, out her heart she cried

Her happiness was in seeing Adi happy with his wife

She shed a few silent tears, and walked out of his life.

PaYa's journey shows us, how incomplete we are without a partner,

How love and trust can change, a ruthless into a lover.

It shows to what degree, our upbringing affects us

It shows us how important, true friends are to us.

This is a story of friendship, this is a story of family,

This is a story of love, it teaches us how to live happily.

This is a story of joy, cries, happiness and sorrow in life,

Pankhuri is a happy, joyous small-town girl hailing from the mountain town of Kullu, Himachal, India, and has a lovable nature which all adore.She is part of a traditional joint family and finds happiness in the beauty of well maintained relations and believes in trust, faith, love. She respects her elders and the virtues she's been given by her family and loves to help others selflessly always expecting less in return. She's one who sees the good in every situation and would always act for the betterment of people around her. Was successfully able to re-join Aditya's shattered family and won everyone's hearts, by reforming many of those treading the wrong path and fulfilling the dream of old Purshottoam Deewan.

Aditya Kumar, known as 'Adi', educated abroad and his family is based in the fast-moving, modern city Mumbai, India. Growing up around his parents' separation and never-ending family problemscaused him to loose faithin long-lasting commitments such as marriage. He's always truthful and has a heart of gold as well as a tendency to help and care for those around him when in need. Mad internet freak, owninglots of gadgets and 1000+ friends online as he likes to move on with time. He became interested in emotions and family after he met Pankhuri, who taught him the value of many important things in life and made him a better person overall.

Avantika is the eldest daughter of Purshottam Deewan and a highly successful and rich businesswoman, who likes to control and is extremely strong inside and out. Her anger is one to be feared of. Yet she can often have a soft heart and thinks the world of her son for whom she wanted a modern wife compared to the classical Pankhuri. Avantika had difficulties accepting Pankhuri as her daughter-in-law mainly because she couldn't understand Pankhuri fully but with time grew to accept her. Her relationships with hersiblings were always dodgy and also could notstay in abond with her husband Harish Kumar, but did not divorce him after separation. She can be danger, and a protector.She's one who always knows to speak up for what's right. It was also revealed towards the end of the show that she had an affairbefore Harish and also a son whom was assumed dead.

Purshottam Deewan,Aditya's Nanu,is an elderly man with a desire to see his shattered family joint again and he saw the hope of this happening through Pankhuri. Was quite lonely in the huge Deewan Mansion and fed up of his children constantly fighting, but always had the softest spot in his heart for Adi, to whom he was like God. He had an extremely good heart and shared a really close relation with Adi. He played games such as badminton with Adi. He could die a peaceful death in his sleep once his the family was happily joined together again.

Adi's father and small screen comedian with a naturally good sense of humour and holds the ability to make any situation funny and less stressful. Was separated from his son due to his separation with his wife but always loved both his son and wife dearly, and wished for the misunderstandings to clear and his family to come back to him. Otherwise a jolly, carefree, and hardworking man. An adorable and caring family man

Preity is the second daughter of Purshottam Deewan and younger to Avantika. She loves to live her life by her rules and was seen as arrogant and forever arguing with her siblings but she always shared afun relation with Adi- she loved him and was accused of spoiling him. Inside, she was quite an emotional woman as she had a secret she was hiding which indirectly caused the separation of her sister from her husband- she got pregnant with Kailiash Gupta and had an abortion which was what made her sad and moody for the bulk of her life but eventually she got over it and turned out to be extremely loving and supportive to her family. She did not marry until a very late stage.Also, she had favoured Pankhuri when less others had.

The elder brother of both Avantika and Preity and the only son of Purshottam Deewan. Condemned the fact that Avantika, despite being his dad's daughter and also younger than him is at a higher position at the office and is able to control him, which was pretty much always the same case at home too. Also very easily manipulated by his wife Sheela- agrees blindly with everything she says and cannot make his own decisions. As time went by he gradually began to see the difference between good and bad people and became more helpful and useful to all.

Sheela Deewan overall is theclown of the Deewan household, as well as once being the most evil and selfish, envious of the attention and power Avantika and Preity get in the house despite them being daughters and she believed she deserves to get that as the only daughter-in-law. She was annoyed at how her husband Anuj is unable to speak up in front of her father and sister and is at a lower position than Avantika in business. Loves to comically express her pride over her beauty and her small town Dholpur which always brings a laugh

Pankhuri's dadaji is undoubtedly the best man on the show. The most learned, with the most best experience of life and the purest heart, always guiding his children in the right direction. He is Pankhuri's inspiration in life, as he is the most understanding and caring and always had advice for every problem. His words sound magical as they are always full of such truth.

Diwaker Gupta, Pankhuri's father, is a kindly, patient man with a calm and acceptingnature. He works hard along with his brother to run the business started by their father.

Ambika Gupta, Pankhuri's mother, is a rooted housewife. She loves her family dearly. She is aware that that they are indebted to her brother, Govardhan Nath. Though she does not like her brother's indulgence, she keeps quiet to maintain peace.

Pankhuri's chachi is as sweet as her husband. She is extremely fond of the film Maine Pyar Kiya and enjoys being addressed as Suman and sharing romantic moments from the film with her husband Pushkar. She is close to Ambika. Mother of her only daughter Neha.

Govardhan Kaneria, Pankhuri's mamaji, is an arrogant man who is arrogant with his power and has connections to rich people in society. He believed that the Gupta family are doing well because of him and likes to interfere unnecessarily in their matters but all the same he loves Pankhuri dearly and has always been her protector.

Kamini, Pankhuri's Mami, is a big fan of her husband, Govardhan Kaneria. She loves to talk about the power and wealth her husband has. She looks down upon the Gupta family and keeps showing off. Coincidentally Sheela's childhood friend and Payals bua who introduces Payal to Rubel.

Rubel Deewan is the son of Sheela and Anuj. He also studied abroad with Adi and grew up to be quite arrogant and rude because he considered himself more deserving than Aditya simply because his father is the son of Purshottam and so he believed that he is entitled to his property and wealth. He's a confident speaker and careless, doesnt bother about many other things, until he came out of his close-mindedness and became a loving and caring brother, son, grandson, brother-in-law and husband.

Kaira is the younger sister of Rubel and the only granddaughter of Purshottam Deewan. She, also, studied abroad. She's a girl with blatant confidence and a pure heart. She used to stay confined within herself and had many issues on her mind when she returned from abroad, due to a misunderstanding she had at a younger age when she though her saw Purshottam removing the oxygen mask of her grandmother. Started of as someone who didn't mix with her family except Shanky but as time went on she began to mingle nicely with all.

Shanky is the loyal caretaker and friend of the Deewans especially Nanaji. He has been with them for many years and knows about everyone's likes and dislikes and their lifestyles and he cares for all; he is treated like one of that family.

Kailash is Jagdish Prasad Gupta's youngest son who left home when he was young in order to chase his dreams but failed and then did not come back home. amidst this he had a relationship with Preity in Mumbai which caused her to get pregnant which he did not know about and then was not found when Preity searched for him. He was reunited with his family by Pankhuri and Aditya when they went to find him because he was the one who could mend Harish and Avantika's relationship.

Vedika Gupta is Kailash's wife who was with him while he was out of home. She was unaware of Kailash's previous affair before PaYa brought it up. Was unhappy that she could not conceive and Dadaji had given permission for them to adopt but that issue wasn't brought up again after that.

Latika is a girl of Aditya's age whom was once liked by Avantika and almost married to Adi. She is greedy and conniving, willing to go to any low to get money and property. She wanted to marry Adi only in greed of his wealth, and when that couldn't happen she married Rubel, developing a jealous hate for Pankhuri. She joined hands with a few enemies of the Deewans, before she was finally put behind bars.

Rubel's second wife, also Kamini's niece. Rubel fell in love with her during PaYa's second marriage but at the time Payal was in love with someone else, who was using her and had joined hands with Latika. After a turn of events Payal fell hopelessly in love with Rubel too and had a cute bonding with him. She had an adorable relation with Sheela, too.

Sameer Deshpande started as Preity's friend at work, then became her lover and husband. He's energetic, lovable, calm, gentle, caring.

Nirmala Deshpande is Sameers mom and a nurse. She was an accepting mother-in-law at the start but after an incident she got disturbed and became slightly difficult for Preity. In the past Mrs Deshpande had worked for Purshottams late wife.

Anisha James Waterson is the sister of Purshottam's late wife, who ran away to get married without the consent of her family and resided in Australia until PaYa and RuYal found her and brought her back. She is a kind woman. She was very supportive to Ayesha, and even decided to devote her life to her in the end, by taking her to Australia with her.

Ayesha is Pankhuri's look-alike. She is very different to Pankhuri except her face; she loud, childish, funny, cute, vibrant. She had a dream of being a fashion designer. She was brought from Lucknow to Mumbai by Harish with a plan to help Adi get over Pankhuri (who was considered dead but was not), and she falls in love with Adi even end up marrying him after a turn of events but this marriage is broken by Pankhuri's return.

Happy 3rd Anniversary Pyar ka dard hai! PKDH, since it started, has been a very important part of my life. I had never been such an ardent lover of ANYTHING before PKDH happened...and took away my heart! I simply got addicted to the show and so much that I used to wait for 10:00 pm everyday and hated weekends! PKDH was, is and will always be special for me...so what if it has ended..it will be always alive in my heart and I will keep celebrating its anniversaries every year! PKDH has been an important part of my life and will be!! Magical journey that started on June 18th,2012 and still living in our hearts today😳...Happy 3rd Anniversary to our beloved show !!! 🥳 It is hard for me to express my feelings when it comes to PKDH...😭

The chemistry between Adi and Pankhuri is unmatchable, they have Amazing chemistry and that's one reason that they won, not one or two but many "Best Jodi Award" and that makes me so proud and I can even say that PKDH is the best show in the Indian Television ever and many would agree with that.❤️

PKDH is a part of my life. Normally i was used to forgot those shows when they were closed but can't forget pkdh even after its end. It is the 1st show which i loved the most and downloaded its episodes and Naks and Dishu are the first ones for whom i started making edits. Before that i was not aware how to make these collages and vms lol :p but they taught me this also :). So PKDH is close to my heart. And i cant stop loving this show and pkdh's episodes never made me bore I watch them in my vacations and enjoy watching it :)

For all those who don't know...and are wondering.."Who are PKDHians?" ..let me tell you...PKDHians are a community which took birth on 18th June 2012...the same day as PKDH took birth. This community is a bit hatke...and anyone at first sight will mistake them as MAD, Crazy people...but actually, they are DIE-HARD fans of a particular phenomenon...Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara...

These people are funny too! They can literally do ANYTHING for the show...coz PKDH is the LIFE of PKDHians...and PaYa, their heartbeat..

So, on this special occasion wherein this lovely show completes THREE YEARS, PKDHians go crazy once again! Here's what they do-

Hehe..they are crazy!! They started doing COUNTDOWN for this day as if a rocket is going to take off..🤣 But pkdh IS that special for them...😳

Pankhuri aayi

Adi ki life mein usne

Nayi happiness layi

Dosti hui phir hui shadi

Poora kia Pankhuri ne Nanu ka sapna

I'm so happy to share that I was involved to this show and to this forum so very much right from its first day that I was promoted as a Coolbie, for providing updates. 😃

I cannot forget all those memorable moments in this forum regarding the show! It was so much fun to discuss when it was on air! I miss this show a lot!

I miss PaYa a lot! and their cute chemistry!😳 Pankhuri & Aditya were so realistic characters that we loved them just the way they were!

PKDH is my life and very close to my heart..😳😳

Nakuul and Disha breathed life into Adi and Pankhu with their Amazing chemistry.❤️

No one can replace our PaYa and PKDH.❤️

I miss PaYa a lot..their lovely romantic scenes,Nok-Joks,cute fights...everything.😭😭😭

Even miss discussions on this forum...missing those lovely days..!!

I really want PKDH2 to witness my lovely PaYa on my tv screen again.😭
