Truth stranger than fiction - Swastika is actually not technically divorced from her husband - she's only legally separated. For years she alleged that he had been abusive which is why she left him. To get back at her, her husband slapped a case of adultery against her and Parambrata.

She's currently involved with a married director and she may or may not have attempted suicide over her affair with him.

Swastika's life is more intriguing than the films she stars in.

She's faded as a commercially viable actress in Bengal - now gets cast by either directors who are friends or lovers (or both - friends with benefits 😆)
