it will be a miscast i reckon... ranbir ka khulta nai tapoori roles k liye ... he is suited for suave urban characters... neither besharam nor BV worked...uninhibited characters are required for this role... Sanju baba is a real mumbaiya lafanga type person

didn't sanju baba come from a typical rich family? how does tapori go with it was just how movie image..or am i wrong?
and I guess Hirani considering he considers Sanju baba as family will be showing us the man not many might be aware of.. i doubt Hirani can miscast.

I don't have much faith in RK's script sense, but i have absolute trust in Hirani's instincts.. so ya..

I feel hirani is making this movie as he said himself, he didn't even know 5% of Sanju baba even working with him in munna bhai series and PK. It was only when Sanju was about to go to jail and he opened up to raju and raju saw a movie there. He said to abhijeet that we're like kinder garden kids infront of sanju baba as he has gone so through, has seen so many things in life.

This doesn't mean that he is gonna glorify sanjay dutt nor does it mean that he is gonna show us those things that we already know. I think he is gonna show us something new, something we don't know about him (good or bad) ofc other stuff will be shown too as its part of his life but it will be more deeper, more emotional.

I don't think this movie is gonna be funny like the rest of his movies, might have humor here and there but it will be mostly an emotional drama.

Sanju does speak in tapori language specially when he is drunk and so does Sallu and Jackie.

So the script is gonna be completed by the year's end and they will start shooting sometime next year, will probably release in 2017

No, sanjay is like that in real life too😆..not as tapoori as what movies show as tapoori...but he is very theatrical personality, real man, gunda of the juhu n palli hill area ...rich doesn't influence the childhood much, it depends upon your company and childhood. eg.- ranveer is from rich family, see how he grew up..we are talking about juhu, palli hill growing up boys here...i have followed Sanju's news for 20 years now...we are talking about 1990 here... BECAUSE he is my favourite actor before Ranveer😊 i loved the man!
becoz i have already watched BV, RK facewise look suitable but his acting chops would have to go drastic transformation to match sanju...it's a different thing movie might earn a lot because of Hirani factor...but a miscast will remain a miscast...this is just my feeling at present...i am not trying to declare anything here... whether i am right or wrong, we will see after release😛... the reason why raju has chosen ranbir is because the families are close together and sanju has been ranbir's idol since childhood, they were like very close...and sanju gave green light to hirani to take ranbir..
