August 28th Written Update
I didn't see it up, so I thought I'll write it. The show started on the 27th of August so this is the 2nd episode.😉
Recap: (This is from the first episode) The father is scolding the children's mother about the children.
In the palace, the mother is sitting on the bed putting her three children to sleep by singing to them. The two youngest children fall asleep, but Raja, the oldest one is still lying awake. His mother asks him why he's not asleep and he says he doesn't feel sleepy. She tells him to try, but he sits up angrily and asks her why she didn't let him meet Baba, he thought he would call him but he left without meeting him. She says that his father had some important work. Raja says that fine, he'll sleep after Baba comes back home. She says no how long will you stay awake Baba will come very late. Raja asks why he comes so late. He knows that we go to school but he still stays asleep. He says that he thinks Baba doesn't love us. She asks what he's saying and that Baba loves you all a lot. She says that you don't know when you all sleep he quietly comes in the room to see you, kisses you, then goes to sleep. She says, he then asks her many questions about them, about their school, which toys they like ect. She says Baba protects them and whenever you need to ask him something you can. He asks if she's telling the truth and she says yes. He lies down on her lap and goes to sleep. She starts crying ( I think she might of been lying to him)
In the morning the gates to the palace are opened and a police jeep and two cars enter while the mother is doing pooja. They come and the police officer asks her to call Padam Singh. She says he's not at home at this time and asks what they need. One man says that you all need to empty this mansion. The lawyer says that Padam Singh took money from these people and didn't return it at the right time. He said he's ordered to sell this palace for the money. She is shocked and then the lawyer gives her a paper and the all leave. She slowly walks inside and the two younger children are sitting in the main hall, playing with their toys. The mother is slowly walking upstairs and gets unsteady. She drops the plate for aarti and falls down the stairs. Raja sees this from the other side of the staircase and so do the younger children. She screams in pain at on the floor. Her head is covered in blood. The maid and three children run to her. The mother tells Raja to call Baba. Raja tells the maid to take care of her. He comforts his baby sister not to cry nothing will happen to her then he tells his younger brother, Ambar to take care of her, and he runs to call his father. Raja runs all around the town looking for his father. Meanwhile, Padam Singh is in the kotha drinking and watching women dance. Raja goes where his father is and sees him lying in drunk. Padam Singh asks who it is and he says it's Raja it's your son. Padam Singh pushes Raja and he falls on the floor. He goes again and makes his father stand up. He says Maa fell from the stairs. Padam singh asks she fell? Well did she die? Raja is shocked. Padam Singh eats a paan and says that when you didn't find any excuse you made this one to call me home. Raja says Maa is calling you. Padam Singh says tell you mother so she fell, even if she dies I won't come. He pushes Raja on the floor again, and lies down again and asks for more alcohol. Raja gets up and runs back home. His mother is lying on the sofa while some servants are there. He runs to her seeing her lying still and asks her to talk to him. She gasps for breath then wipes Raja's tears. She holds his hand tells him to take care of his younger brother and sister. He says no he can't live without her. She holds out her hand makes him promise. He puts his hand on hers then she holds Nandini and Ambar's hands too. Raja promises her then her hand drops out of his because she passes away and everyone there cries.
At the temple the mother's body is lying there. The younger children are crying and Ambar asks when Baba will come. One man says it looks like his chances of coming are little and he says we should leave for the cremation. Raja remembers what his mother told him about his father the night before and says that he knows his father will come. A while later, the pandit says we've waited enough and your father already has the news of what happened so we should go. When the men carry the body and start walking away Nandini starts crying for her mother. She then yells "Bhaiya!!" so Raja goes to her and holds her hand. The Pandit says girls can't go there. Raja says his mother told him to take care of her and anywhere he goes Nandini will come with him. When they get there, the men put her on the pyre while the younger kids cry and say don't burn my mother. Raja sprinkles the ghee around the pyre. When he drops the pot and gets the torch he sees his father. He says see I said Baba would come. Padam Singh takes the torch He walks around and when Raja see that he's drunk and about to fall unconscious he takes the torch and lights the pyre himself. It's now dark and everyone is gone while Raja hugs his brother and sister while they cry.
