Hi guys,
Bhagmati has been one of my fav characters in the show since the beginning. She is a strong headed woman who has a mind of her own. Since she had been a widow before her mother in law doesn't approve of her but still she managed to hold her own ground and hats off to her for that 👏 She never thought of her husband's disability as a liability but instead accepted him the way he was and it takes a lot of courage and a big heart to accept this. If Keshav wanted a life partner, she also wanted one but also a life partner who could be a father to her little boy.
Keshav as we all know is a good hearted man but at the same time he is gullible, be it to his mother's poisonous words or circumstances. I totally understand where he is coming from. Its not easy living the life of a handicapped and seeing pity in the eyes of others for yourself. He had never whole heartedly accepted Bhagmati as he felt she was doing him a favor by living with him but later things began to change and he realised he was special when he saw himself through her eyes. He did not see a cripple but he saw a man who shouldered his family's responsibilities. It is never too easy to embrace somebody else's child as ur own and I liked the way it was shown in the show. For it was natural but yet my heart went out to the little boy who craved for his father's acceptance
Sunder is no where in fault here but I felt Bhagmati could have handled situations well. I agree nothing should be more important than her son's future but equally important is her marriage. Rather than expecting Keshav to accept Sunder whole heartedly she should have made efforts to bridge the gap between her son and husband. I agree she did that to some extent. She should realise that it is never easy for Keshav to accept Sunder for Sunder is not his child. A mother always won over a wife no matter the situation. Every circumstance demands you to act differently. She should have made efforts to remove that insecurity from Keshav's mind but she made it worse by hiding the fact that she was on birth control. I understand y she took that step and I support her even but didn't Keshav have a right to know? She could have told him that she wanted their family to settle down and explain that they need to give Sunder the kind of love both parents give their child before they have another child. What she did as a woman and a wife were wrong. Because if she married Keshav only to get a father for her child then she was wrong too. She was being selfish since Keshav married her not for the child but because he wanted a life partner. Sunder came along with her and though he could not accept that child wholly he tried to be a parent. Maybe not an affectionate one but he tried.
I will really feel bad if Sunder leaves the house because of these issues That poor boy is being squashed between these two 😭
