Reyansh comes out from taking a shower in army green khakis without a shirt looking very hot. He stands in front of mirror checking himself out as he drys his hands and fixes his hair. Just then he realized. His necklace is missing. "Where's my rings?" he questioned. He frantically looks around for them. Looking everywhere and anywhere, they could possible be in the hotel room. He even goes back to the location where his presentation was held but no luck. "Where could it go?" Reyansh wonders. He even asks the lady who works there but to no avail.
Dejected, Reyansh returns to his room. He sits down leaning his back on the couch as he takes out his wallet. Inside is a photo of him and his parents. There is a beautiful couple with a small seven-to-eight-year-old young boy. He traces his thumb over their faces and then linger over their joint hand. They are wearing the same rings that Taani found on that Necklace! The rings belonged to his deceased parents. He then remembers that fatal cruising trip that took away their lives and how those rings are the only belongings of his parents that he still carries with him everywhere.
Reyansh rubs his hand over his forehead trying to brush away the throbbing headache that was forming. "What am I doing?" he questions himself as he closes his eyes. "How could I lose such an important item?" Reyansh chides himself for the carelessness and suddenly recalls his crash on Taani's shower house. "No. Tomorrow I'm leaving Cancun for Maimi. Before that, I must find the rings," Reyansh decided.
Next Day...
Taani's House, Isla Mujueres...
Taani gets up and quickly gets dress. Next she quietly nails her letter to the wall and leaves. In the letter, Taani tells her Grandma to not worry about her and take care of herself and that she will be back very soon. As soon as Taani leaves, Grandma wakes up. She doesn't seem surprise to not find Taani around. In fact, she smiles when she found her letter. She smiles as if she knew all along that Taani was leaving. Grandma shakes her head with tears.
On the other hand, Reyansh also got up early and got dress. Then he came to Isla Mujeres using speedboat to find Taani. After a lot of struggle, he found her house. Reyansh comes but fails to communicate with Grandma. Taani Grandma can only speak in Spanish and Reyansh doesn't know Spanish; so he tries hand motions and English."I am... I am..." Reyansh started. "I'm looking for a girl about this height," he said motioning with his hand to show the length beside him. "Long hair," Reyansh continue as he moves his hand over his head portraying long hair. "Do you understand what I'm saying?" a hopeful Reyansh asked. "If you don't speak Spanish then i can't understand," Grandma said in Spanish.
A frustrated Reyansh looks around for help and not burst into anger. But alas, there was no help so he tried again as he didn't have much of any choice. He tried speaking in German only other language he knew other than English, "I'm the one who fell from the sky the other day and BOOM! Smashed your bathroom." he even made visual using his hand changed his voice to make a difference. Grandma looks at him intently maybe feeling sorry for him and trying to help. "I'm looking for my necklace," he puts his hand around his neck forming an imaginary necklace.
"Aha!," Grandma exclaimed and nodded. Getting positive response, Reyansh continues with more enthusiasm, "You know? My necklace - the necklace that has rings." Grandma has a guilty laugh and answers in Spanish, "I don't understand German either." Reyansh pulls his shades off and raises his head is frustration, "I'm looking for a necklace. I'm looking for a girl with long hair," he cried English while making female curves to show a female. Finally it clicked with Grandma, "Oh! Taani?" she asked as she clapped her hands.
"If its Taani then I know! She's my granddaughter," Grandma says but Reyansh continues to make expression of frustration as he doesn't understand her. He shakes his head and hand as a "No". "God what? I'm looking for a necklace.. Necklace," he continues in English as he demonstrates draping something around his neck to portray necklace. Grand laughs and lightly hits him on his chest, "Taani is very cute! I know, you don't have to say it," she says in Spanish. "Not cute, no no no," he says making hand motions as he caught a bit of what she said.
"I wanna look for my necklace. I wanna find that girl," Reyansh says again scratching his head for help. "She dresses like..." he starts off pointing at Grandma's clothes just Grandma jumped and clapped as she comes to the decision, "I got it!You must be Yang Guang's boyfriend!" He quickly clarifies, "No! No boyfriend! No girlfriend!" "Only my necklace," Reyansh cried.
A few minutes later...
Some blocks down Taani's house...
Taani is saying good bye to her neighbors, and her irresponsible parents are watching from afar. They vow to rescue her but the moment the debtors see them, they start running away. Reyansh is nearby and is flung to the side by Taani's parents, the debtors, and finally Taani. But he grabbed her hand not letting her go, "hey do you remember me," he asks her. "I remember," she says and tries to escape to catch with her parents but he doesn't let her go. "Don't go yet. Did you pick up my necklace yesterday? Give it back," Reyansh demanded. "Yes, wait a sec first," Taani says tries to go away but his grip is firm. "No! Give it back now! Hurry!" Reyansh insists. But somehow she manages to flung him and runs. Reyansh chases after her.
After a lot of running, the sibling debtors fail to capture Taani's parents. Father and mother see that Reyansh is preying on their precious daughter and devise a plan to stall him. Giving up on finding her parents, the siblings get on a boat with Taani, ready to take the plane to Florida. Reyansh looks on from the dock, exasperation written all over his face. Moreover, his wallet is stolen by Taani's parents as they use it to pay for boat fare. Reyansh calls his secretary, Aditya, and asks for a speedboat. He also sends the boy a photo of Taani, calling in the help of his whole crew to find her.
Meanwhile, Taani's parents have made it to the other dock, before Taani and the debtors. They wait patiently for a chance to help Taani escape. A man in black approaches and shows them a photo of Taani, asking for her whereabouts. They shake their head. Father comes up with a plan. He comes near Aditya and tells him that he has seen this girl in the bathroom. Aditya and the men rush to the bathroom where Mother is stationed to act her part. She confirms that the girl is indeed inside. Mother steps away and joins father. Aditya follows her and realizes they put on a show.
Reyansh reaches the dock but Aditya announces that he fails to capture the girl because a couple led them away. Reyansh remember his previous encounters with those a couple who tried to sent Taani away from him, "It's those two cheaters," Reyansh growled. "Rey, what's up? Say something. Everyone is so confused." Aditya whined tired of all the running. "Just go find her!" Reyansh barked at Aditya.What are you still waiting for?" Reyansh cried. Aditya sends his guys to look for Taani again. "Looks like she's not planning to return the necklace to me," Reyansh thinks in his to himself. "Despicable! Why can't I take care of sucha small thing?" Reyansh thought pissed at himself. He sighs shaking his head leaning on the railing of the dock.
"You ok?" Shivam asked his childhood friend who work with him too. He was also in Cancun for the business trip. "Shivam, I still have some unfinished business, can you push back my flight to Maimi?," Reyansh questions rather than answering him. "I have no problem with that, but Kirti is alreayd at the airport waiting for you," Shivam informs him. Reyansh agrees as Shivam gives him a smirk with a head shake. They head to the airport. They head back to Florida.
On the flight...
While Reyansh worries about finding his necklace, Shivam had has own worries. As he looks out the window, he recalls yesterday. He remembers how After the conference, he introduces Reyansh businessmen and women which his dad wasn't pleased to see. He looks across and sees his Dad reading e-paper on tablet. Then his glance moves forward to Ria Kapoor, she was lovingly looking at Reyansh who seems occupied because of that girl. "What could she have done to him?" Shivam wondered. But that was not important Shivam, Ria was.
So his attention came back to her and he remembers how she reacted yesterday. She's been in love with Reyansh since forever and wants her mother to place her as Reyansh's special secretary. Or anything that have her next to him. Shivam hands automatically turns into fist as jealousy burns through him. He looks away. But as he was looking away, his Dad caught his eyes and then motioned his head towards Reyansh pointing towards their past conversation. Shivam recollects that Reyansh was introduce his Dad brought him inside to talk.
In the male bathroom, Shivam's father berates him for his childish thinking. He tells Shivam that they are no longer innocent classmates. Shivam's position at the company can be his too. His Dad doesn't want his son to follow his footsteps as he was Reyansh's father's loyal dog for three decades. As angry ran through his veins, Shivam defends his own abilities saying that he's not beneath Reyansh. He will use his own methods to obtain what should have been his.
A thud of fallen magazine brings back Shivam to the present. He notices it was Ria who intentionally drop the magazine to caught Reyansh's attention but failed miserably. Shivam sighs and closes his eyes as he leans back on his seat catch some sleep.
Maimi, Florida...
Destination confirmed, Taani is welcomed to the house where she's going to work by the head chef, Zhao Ma.
At the office, Reyansh speaks to a woman who he deeply respects. He calls her, Kirti. She senses that he's troubled but Reyansh says it's a minor thing.
Helping in the kitchen, Zhao Ma asks Taani to clean up the mansion where Mr. Singhania lives. In short, Taani's working at the Kapoor's house, but because of family connection, the Kapoors also take care of the Singhania's house, where Reyansh resides. She heads over and stares in awe at the mansion.
Singhania HouseShe punches in the code and enters the luxurious place. It even has an elevator. "WHOA. May I ask, how many people live here?" Taani rhetorically questions. One. Bloody hell!!! Taani muses in agony, "When am I going to finish cleaning?" She notices a fish tank which is currently holding things other than fish and takes it upon herself to buy fish. On the way home, lo and behold, a car scares the living daylights out of her and she lets go of the pouch. The driver dismounts from his car and asks if Taani is okay.
