Let's hope there is some progress. How different are the responses from Shamilee and Radha to the same situation.

Vast difference between the two... Shamlee has been sheltered all her life, dependent on her parents first and then her in laws now. Radha on the other hand is raised as a confident woman with an independent spirit... She is independent but not arrogant about it. She knows her limits and skillfully learned to adapt in joint family despite being thrusted in that situation unwillingly. Her determination and her resilience set her character apart from other "shamlee-like" typical docile female characters mostly shown on Indian Telly.
