Both Neil and Ragini get the "worst parents of the year award"
The social services need to step in and remove any other children they have. They both failed as parents.

Poor Araav. So heartbreaking to watch him spiral downward like that. He has been practically begging for some understanding and attention since he came back from the farmhouse. His mom yelled him and then dropped the topic. His confidante Sunny Tai, his sister Nishi and his mom, were all unavailable. His small mistakes lead to bigger and bigger ones. Ragini did feel that all was not right with Araav, but she chose to romance her ex-husband rather than focus on her son.

Araav's love for Shilpa was all consuming. At his age, those emotions can be so powerful and so overwhelming. His dad is only able to throw money at things and put a band-aid on wounds. No real connection with any of the children.
His twin Agham is the most useless character of all! He did not tell his parents of his brother's suicide attempt at the farmhouse. How stupid is that! And he knew something was amiss with Araav, but chose to ignore it and not bring it to the attention of any of the adults.

And the reason for Araav's emotional despair - his other brother Ranveer. He screwed Araav, knew his weakness and exploited it to take revenge on their own mom. He is just plain evil. I almost wished Araav had pulled the trigger and shot him. At least his jail term would have been justified then.

It is too late for this family to live together as one. It ain't gonna happen.

But I really want to know if Babu Bhai is ok.😃 I really like his sense of style and boyish good looks

I don't have any sympathy for aarav...one can't put the blame in just parents...they are not giving an attention and all...sometimes its in the kid nature whether he wants to choose the right or wrong...

aarav is an idiot...teenage crush...attraction happens...everyone has went through such phase.even me too.what aarav has for shilpa was madness and obsession...plain craziness...the idiot tried to commit suicide for a girl...not even thinking once how his mother reacts seeing her son dead...the trauma his mother and family will go through...then the shortcut way of becoming rich so that shilpa can be his...for god sake he is just 16 yrs old...ragini did tried to advice..this is not the right age based on her experience...but did he listen?...No...due to his obsession for shilpa...he raise his voice to his own mom various time...neil gave him money to give to the loan shark...what did the idiot did...run away with shilpa along with the money nothing twice abt his parents...3 siblings(nishi...agam...suhani)...family...promising to do anything and everything for her...what abt his mom...does he even understand his responsibilities towards his mother and family...aarav is materialistic...he doesn't care for anyone except for himself...selfish brat...this has nothing to do with divorce effect...attention seeking for parents...its in his nature...if aarav was with neil...he would be worst than ranbir...he will think and act...money can buy everything...will become arrogant...all he knows is shilpa...shilpa...shilpa

neil did told aarav...if he needs finance...he will help him...who ask him to borrow huge sum of money from loansharks...he hids every single happenings in his life from his parents...many times ragini tried to ask aarav...what is bothering him...but he took aakash's name and studies as an excuse and hide the matter...

this disaster happens due to his stupid obsession for shilpa...as if she is the last girl on earth...his obsession killed shilpa...separate his parents...once again makes his siblings to yearn for parents love TOGETHER

neil only mistake was he hide this loanshark matter from ragini...he wanted to save his useless son thus he gave the idea of hiding...since he was thinking that morning after returning the money...issues will be solved...he did wanted to tell ragini but aarav messed up...

I really don't like it when one says that aarav is a product of divorce effect...even agam...suhani are products of divorce effect...suhani even suffered emotionally knowing abt her truth...how come both this kids are still sensible...sorted and matured...they know the difference b/w right and wrong...suhani understands issues deeper...even this two kids are product of their parents divorce...how come they are calm and sorted...in the world there are orphans...who neither has parents nor family...how many such special kids in the world has succeed in life w/o parents...family and adoption of a new family...its all abt choosing the right or wrong path in life...listening to your parents...aarav took the wrong path in life and the punishment for not listening to his mother...

ranbir is a product of pam's poison...that poison needs to drain out...ranbir does hate his mother...drive aarav to extreme extend...coward in the hit and run case...but he loves his dad and aunt and his siblings(agam-suhani)...he does care for them...though he is troubled kid too...which aarav lacks in all aspect...aarav only cares for shilpa...

When Aarav was hauled off in the police jeep, he was leaving as if it was just a ride home. Didn't see him in shock or devastated over the loss of the love of his life he claimed Shilpa to be. His so called love was a obsession. He was fine with waiting to court Shilpa until Ranbir made a play for her to ruin him and his mother in one shot. Ranbir's vendetta was truly Pam's poison running amuck.
The scene at the train station was poorly shot. Neil and Ragini were standing around waiting for what? As a doctor didn't he see the gravity of the situation and call for help or find a way to talk his son out of the threat to blow his brains off? This cardiologist turned out to be a heartless father...he is emotionally unavailable to his children since their separation 15 years ago. Was he hoping to woo Ragini back into his life before he emotionally invested in his children's lives? He pawned off his moral responsibility of parenting on to Pam. Pam took control and started calling the shots. She detested Ragini on behalf of her brother.

At least Ragini for her part voiced her concerns, but Nachiket seems obsessed with getting Ragini back into his life? For what exactly? A marriage can never be healthy one when one of the two in the relationship is emotionally unavailable as Neil has been and neither does the lack of trust to tell the truth to each other help rebuild their fragile relationship.

When Nachiket returns to the US he needs to find a good psychologist and get his head examined instead of burying himself with his surgeries and ignoring the emotional needs of his children. Parenting is not just about providing material comforts for children, their emotional needs and health is at the core of who they turn out to be in the long run.

Well said Leela and MeraRai. I have no sympathies for Aarav or Shilpa, but I do wish Shilpa had not died. They could have just written her off in some way.
Coming to the post, we do see so many single parents raising their kids. Some have been successful, some have been not. But generally speaking, these kids have such a unique bond with their parents and are super protective about them. Aarav didn't grow up on the streets, he had been raised in quite a proper fashion with most of the facilities that one would need. And also loved enough. Yes maybe he was not rolling in money like the other set of his siblings. But in no way he was compromised.
He was gifted a laptop for his Birthday but he made such a ruckus about that bike. That very incident ushered Ranbir into their lives. And then he goes onto plan and manage his Father's roka and engagement. Which psychologically sane person would do that and hurt the one person who has raised him up ? He did not even care for his family a second. Though I don't like Ranbir either, yet he wouldn't do anything to hurt his Father.
I don't think he lacked much. He was well taken care off
And now with his stupid actions, he has once again destroyed his parent's happiness. He could have gone to Nachiket earlier, or to his Mother.
NR are not good enough parents, agree. They have made wrong decisions albeit. But Aarav is not their failure only. He is stupid with mule like tendency to fall into trouble and maybe deserves this at some level.
