Ajay announced Diwali release for SOS first , later YRF also announced Diwali release for JTHJ , yrf forced theatres to play JTHJ over SOS bcz they put a condition that they will be able to play ETT only if they will play JTHJ so obviously SOS got less theatres , now less theatres means less revenue ...Ajay even filed a case on them ...then some ass lickers also tried to play emotional card that its YC's last movie so Ajay shld postpone his movie release , ...but Ajay didn't , why shld he ? If they were insecure of their movie they shld have postponed it but they wanted Diwali holiday , so Even after getting less theatres SOS gave JTHJ very tough competition and crossed 100 cr

If YRF didn't benefit from working with SRK, why would they continue working with him? It's not like he put a gun to their head and made them work with him...There were plenty of other actors around that they could have worked with. It is not SRK's fault Yash Chopra kept directing him only. Just his good luck probably.

YRF did try to break away from SRK when they started expanding. They almost went bankrupt in the process..thus RNBDJ was made (to save them from bankruptcy). Associations continue if they're mutually beneficial..otherwise there's so many other directors, actors around. SRK made his career working with new directors mainly...Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, Abbas-Mustan, Aziz Mirza, etc. Yash Chopra and Mani Ratnam were probably the biggest directors he worked with in the 90's.

Yash Chopra was decent enough not to blame anyone but he did describe the troubles he had making Darr.

You can imagine the embarrassment when Lamhe failed and even newbies were giving attitude to a once ruling movie mogul like Yash Chopra or doubting his sensibilities.

SRK made Darr his own. It is he who suggested that he pronounce Kran's name as Kkkiran to show the extreme obsession. Chopra disagreed first. But Adi and SRK convinced him. And that became a highlight given how it was on everybody's lips after the release.

Aditya being a young guy was very much impressed by SRK and the resurgence of YRF is more due to him than Yash Chopra himself.

The kind of talent, confidence and work ethic that SRK showed at that time, made people give him opportunities despite all skepticism over his looks and background.

It's quite a shame that he lost that hunger to experiment. The 90s SRK is very different from today's SRK.

Although i agree with last part, everyone in this industry is competing with each other..
