I watched it last night 😲
The scene where Kareena appears in the rear view mirror towards the end then infront of Aamir's car gave me spooks 😭

Overall beautiful movie but my sister had already told me its story so it had no surprise element for me 🥺

Anyway, did you like it? 😃

One time decent watch.

I could guess the twist before the ending. Could have been a little better.

I loved it 😳
It was one of the best acting from Aamir and Rani was very good too
But Kareena was the star ⭐️ ...It is the best of Kareena anyday
While watching I was just waiting for her next interaction with Aamir
Also never thought the film could have got that spooky element 😛

I loved the film..Kareena was fabulous..For someone who is always accused of hamming, she played Rosie with such brilliant subtlety..And among the Khans, Kareena has the best chemistry with Aamir IMO..My favorite scene in the film is when she takes him to the hotel & he sleeps peacefully after years..The subtle romance & dormant attraction is so well written..

It was brilliant. I dont know about anybody else but I would the setting to be magical. It has a destopian, futuristic feel to it. Mystifying, haunting and beckoning you in.
The song Jiya Lagee Na captured it wonderfully. I was awestruck by it. The way it starts and how it builds towards the end is amazing.
Shekhawant's tension and the way he is mesmerized by Rosie; how he doesn't even for once look away from her, follows her as if he is being pulled by a magnet to Rosie's all knowing smile as she makes him come after her; it was brilliantly shot. Aamir and Kareena were sublime.

You could predict the story but it was never meant to be a suspense anyway post the midway-point. The core of the story was human emotions and the tangled web they create. How and why people behave in a certain way in a situation, how selfish they can be and given the right time are capable of anything.

I loved the fact that every character was grey; everyone had shades and you couldnt figure what will happen next with them.

The performances were A+ quality. Aamir, Kareena, Rani, Nawaz and rest of the cast were excellent. Direction and production values were great as well. And the music, man the music is one of best albums to come out of BW in recent memory.

It was a solid 4/5 affair to me.

I think it had better potential.

But it just didn't utilise it.

The performances are good but it's a one time watch.

I didn't like its end.

It is an okay film. Neither that bad nor that good.

I liked it.

It ''failed'' simply because the script was too good but reema was not able to bring it properly on the screen..Aamir was unhappy about that... It would have been ''vertigo'' of indian cinema otherwise...
Aamir has the best script sense in the industry...

but i acknowledge it's not for masala fans.

That is a very powerful moment indeed. And did you notice that barely touched each other throughout the movie.
The chemistry these two had was electric. Kareena and Aamir share their best chemistry with each other and Talaash was one of the best I have ever seen in a BW movie.

What made it great was that it was b/w the characters not the actors. The director just put two well written characters in a surrounding and left them there. The result is for all to see.

Wish BW followed more of this route.

And I would love to see Aamir and Kareena in a similar story again. Please make it happen.

I didn't watch it in the theater when it first came out but I've ended up watching it every time it comes on tv.
The parts where Rani is communicating with her dead son don't hold as much repeat value for me as the parts of the story that had to do with Aamir, Kareena, and Nawazzaduin. Especially the small interactions with Kareena's character, Rosie, and and Nawaz's character were so engaging.

Kareena's expressions and her acting were out of this world. She was so good and hauntingly beautiful as Rosie!
